Self Motivation ain't working?

No matter how positive I start my day at work and try to be happy with what I am doing, some thoughts will just sneak in and makes me feel un-motivated and later realize..I am not happy. I used to be so lively, enthusiastic with my work. As far as I know, I love my work and all the job that there is in it. But lately.. I'm no longer happy. I was thinking, maybe I want other job or nature of work but no idea was coming into my mind as to what I really want. I need my job. This is where I get my living. I can see I have a lot of things to do and that the company is looking forward to what I can do..its just that I can't motivate my own self.:(

Have you had a vacation lately? It sounds to me like you may be "burned out." Everyone needs a good break now and then even from things they love to do. Maybe you could take a few days off and do something to keep your mind off your work, then you would be more eager to get back to it.

I also think it is good to take a vacation and it is also good to spend time with friends and family. Most times you will be feeling better after the vacation.

You might consider thinking about jobless people. Imagine that you are one of them. Maybe, you'll regain your motivation afterwards. It's difficult to be jobless. It's hard to get a job nowadays. We can't afford to lose our jobs in this very competitive world.

I think most people will try to feel down or unhappy in life. It is just a feeling and one should try to overcome it and our life is like a coin with good things and bad things in two ends. Bad things is not a permanent condition and it do change. You will have good things also. Try to do things that you like and love. Decorate your memories. Try to spend more time with mother nature like green trees, waterfalls, beaches, flowers, etc. Try to keep busy with things you like and most probably you will motivation yourself.

Hmmm. Maybe you're depressed. You said you're not happy, used to be lively and enthusiastic towards your work. Or maybe it's not the right job for you. Many people experiences that and it's the exact same feelings they feel. I suggest you consult to a psychologist or to someone professional. Maybe you're depressed.

Actually, there is one incident that happened to me. It is when my superior told me that my enthusiasm ain't much needed. It made me feel like he wanted me to be laid back or something. Just stay still on the background or less active.

This might come out a bit hard for you but have you ever considered the possibility that your work is not what you want for your life? That maybe you'd rather do something else rather than this job? I recommend you go to www.personalexcellence.co or www.zenhabits.com This are websites that can help you far more than I can ever advice you. Take some time and read some articles each day and follow the advice they offer you. I am not giving you this links to promote by the way. I am just a reader of this websites. I' just giving them to you because if there's a slight chance I could help you this is the way I can. Personalexcellence are for people with full-on approach and Zenhabits is for people with a more laid back approach though I'd recommend both of them. Take care. :)
