dear comrades, upon joining a discussion what you try to consider it first? it is the title or the context itself? or can you name some other factors that you are giving yourself in for choosing a topic as you contribute or share your point of views and related experiences.
for me, when i have nothing in mind to make new discussions - as i boggling myself to choose a few, it is the title that attracted me first. when i can much relate to it or even if it is tickling my interest and humor, or even my pains; i will quickly open the discussion then read and reply to it without any regrets when things flew and unhappy thoughts would fled in. afterall, giving your replies or comments is not an obligation. it is based upon your freewill for no one forced you to do so. your main concern now is that how to express your thought without hurting anyone. i guess it is okay to have contradiction but in a nice way. do not easily jumped into a conclusion which not confirmed yet.
well, everyone has the right to claim each action. i will respect your way and you have to respect mine too. if you want that, its up to you, just be responsible... help mylot to become more successful and a fun site to hang herewith...

I just go through the first page of all the discussions tabs from 'today's top' all the way to 'unresolved'. If a discussion interest me for whatever reasons; could be the initiator, the title, the short description shown, the interest it's in, the number of responses it has received, or even the person who last posted in it, then I open the topic and read it through. Only if I have something to add to it, then I would post a response or comment.

Well it is true that there must be some factors that make us open one in the midst of so many discussions. I guess I look at the title first, if it is catchy then i open to read. Otherwise when i have lot of time and I can answer all new discussions at that moment. Sometimes it so happens that though the title is not that catchy, but there is something very interesting inside. There is sometimes that I see the number of responses and try to see what is inside the discussion. Nothing more I guess. thanks for sharing. have a wonderful day.

Hi,
The first thing that catches my attention is the title of the discussion of course. Then I open it and read the context and if I have something to contribute to that topic, I type in my response. If I cannot relate to the topic at all or if I have no knowledge about what it is saying, I do not respond there as I would have nothing to say. I do not come here at a fixed time and many times in a day, and whichever new topics I find interesting, I participate in those discussions. My classes will begin probably from next week and I will have less time to spend online, but I will try hard to come here and participate as I find Mylot a whole lot of fun.

When I join discussions,the title hints me if the subject is of interest to me. If not I would start my own discussion, but most of the time I find something of interest to me here in mylot, thank God. Otherwise, I'll be out of ideas. When my discussions were answered back, I appreciate other's insights and opinions as well though I do not agree at all times which is good because it is exactly the essence of having a discussion be it long or short.

I always see the good topic names.. Since many disscussions are there with good topics here i search for a unique topic which i dont know that much so i read thst discussion and comments and understand about the topics which i dont know.. This helps me a lot to know new things in my life.. Then according to it if i feel anything regarding the topic i will comment to them
