I let Marco out for playtime, and he runs around and under things. My tv is plugged in he was back there, and sometimes will be lay down. I heard this noise and look he had chewed the wired right through. Luckily it wasn't plugged in and I wanted to get rid of the tv anyways. He's now ignoring me, and won't get back in his cage. I swear he chews everything, I think next pay I'm going to order the inside playpen. So he can still come out but limited.

Yes, it could be very dangerous if it was plugged in. Luckily it was unplugged and this weekend I was getting rid of it.

I have had rabbits for many years and one of rabbits also chewed through the tv wire and the internet cable. Fortunately none of them were plugged in and the rabbit didn't get hurt, but it definately taught me to be much more careful in the future. I can get a new tv wire and a new internet cable, but it would have been terrible if something had happened to my rabbit because I wasn't paying attention (I let her run around in room while I was busy with something else) I am happy that Marco wasn't hurt either, but please be careful in future, it can be very dangerous if they chew thorugh the cables while they are still plugged in.

There is something in some plastics that makes animals want to chew them. It is safest and kindest to restrict where he can go to protect him. Just because his teeth can chew the wires does not mean his tummy can digest them.

Now our wire chewing pet in our family is not a rabbit, but rather a puppy. Sunshine has chewed through the wires on at least two different phone chargers and she has also chewed through the wires on the computer mouse. This I do consider to be quite lucky considering that my sister's puppy has chewed through several different wires while the things were plugged it. It must not be hurting him too bad because it isn't something that he has stopped doing yet.

Oh is bad or Marco. He is one naughty one. I had one small puppy who chewed my speaker wires and its not working now..I think your idea of getting a play pan is the best. thanks for sharing, have a wonderful day.
