Two days before I saw a wounded sparrow fell down on the ground. The girl who is my wife's companion and a student pick it and bring it at home. He gave her water and carefully apply medicated ointment to it's wounds. She feed her and took care of her till she feel well and then left her free to fly. This girl is very kind. What would you do if you sea a wounded bird in front of your house?

The environment that I have created around our house attracts several birds. They have enough fruit trees, lush green plantation and a bird bath to swim and have fun. Several birds are seen every single day chirping away.

I have done the same thing. Even with Street pigeons. I have taken street pigeons home that were ill or wounded. They are really intelligent animals, and they mate for life. Excellent parents to their young. for those of you who are out there and would like to care for a baby bird, please go and purchase this product: Exact. That is it's name and you can get it at pet stores. the food will never rot in the chicks crop, and that is one of the main reasons baby birds die when you take them in.

hi, you are very kind and true lover of birds. I don't like to keep birds as pet. I don't want to close them in limited area. They can fly up in the sky and putting them in the cage is not fair. We can give them some crop to eat, give some water to drink but don't keep them in the cage. Thank you for the response.

Our family is quickly becoming a family that is well known at the local humane society because of the fact that I have a nine-year-old daughter that is very empathetic toward animals. Now I don't know how to care for a bird, but there have been a couple of times that Kathryn has come home with wounded birds and I will bundle them in a shoe box and we will take them to the humane society so that they can be properly cared for.

I think the bird is one of the many souls who are very fortunate and lucky enough when the girls kind hands touches it. If only the bird could speak, it would surely be grateful for this wonderful soul who took care of it. Surely, the One watching above is smiling at the girl. Every living creature has the right to live and to be taken care for in times of sickness and danger.

Hi I do the same of that girl. This is the humanity. We are dominating the whole world by not allowing other living creatures to live in its own way. We are restricting them to live in a certain part/way in the world say forest, and we occupied all other spaces to live. Leave all but atleast we've to help other creatures like the girl did. Hats-off to the girl...

I believe she did the right thing and I would do the same.It is important that we take care of the wildlife. The nature is a very important thing for us.We must try and help animals as much as we can and provide them help and cure them when needed. We should consider it a responsibility and if we do I am sure we can help the environment a lot and protect the animals as well!

Even I will try what you did. There is a parrot which used to come to my window every morning and my wife used to keep rice and wheat pieces spread over there. Some days there may be sparrow and some other birds also. Also, there is a pigeon and 2 eggs already near the other side of the window. But I hate once the pigeon children come out of the eggs, as it make some horrible noise, which I don't like. I am planning to shift the eggs and its keg to some far away place so that it wont't be a antisense to them as well as me.

To be honest, I would not do anything...I would be terribly afraid to touch any wounded animal...scare of catching something.. The lady who takes care of your children seems like a very lovely person...she much more brave than me to nurse a bird back to good health...I would have absolitely no idea what to do....

hi, once a pigeon fell near our house, some crows hurted the baby pigeon, it was unable to fly, we caught the pigeon treated it, it stayed with us for 3days. To our surprise, we saw some pigeons who were flying near our house, and making some sort of sounds, we thought , may be they came to know that, the baby is with us, as the baby was well by that time, we kept the baby out, it recognized its parents, they took the baby, it was very happy,we can make it by the sounds.

Hi ros, That girl is a great. Hats off to her. Actually she is an angel from heaven. Every creatures along with human has the right to accoplish it normal life circle. Everyone has the right to remain and pass its life with utmost happiness. There is a term in science like biodiversity. Actualy our survival depends on the survival of biodiversity. Every country should take strong commitment to preserve biodiversity. We must make a favourable dwelling place for birds, animals etc. We must not create any nuisance or inconvenience for them or kill them to eat. Mycountry has passed a law concerning killings of the bird. But that law is not in action. Looks like its a verbal one. Our culprit govt does not get rigid on preservation of indigenous species. Many birds, I have seen in my boyhood chirping or noising all the time, have extincted from my country. Scriptures says we have to pay a lot if we kill any creature knowingly or unknowingly. Because killing is an unpardonable sin. There is an international organization named PETA means Peoples' Unethical Treatment for Animals. Lets everyone joit it.

I would never touch it! You shouldn't touch a wounded bird, you can get bird flu. You should use gloves when doing that. I would of course take care of it, but only if I could.
