yes. it is advisable not to sleep during day time. even if we sleep during day time it should not be more than 1 hour or so. before going to bed - take food two hours before -- avoid watching tv , computer at least 30 minutes before going to bed. avoid heated discussions before sleeping. also read books for 30 minutes. ALSO drink milk 200 ml before sleeping. good night.

I know how you feel. I do also hate it when I can't sleep. I am in my bed for 2 hours trying to sleep. It's always easier for me to fall asleep when I am not trying too :)

I like to take sleeping pills but they won't allow me to do so. There is an adverse effect later on when you keep taking pills.

Hi, I have experienced this multiple times. I am an introspective person and my mind sometimes goes out of my control and it keeps shifting from one thought to another when I am desperately trying to sleep. I usually find a solution to this by reading a book that is not very interesting or thick, and before I know, I have fallen into a deep slumber. Have you tried this method?

Yes, it's really hard when your mind doesn't stop working while you're trying to sleep. Maybe a glass of milk can help you before your bedtime.

Yeah. Really hate it! I just arrived home after work and it's already late night now. While tommorrow I have to wake up early for a flight because I will have an event out country. My body is so tired but my eyes won't take a nap. I've tried to read book but my eyes are still not tired yet. I'm also listening to music to relaxing my mind. But, here I am now. On mylot. Asking for your suggestions fellow... Hhmm, I think this is because I drank a few cups of coffee today.

I think that every one has a time when they have difficulty sleeping. I have a small fan that I have on to drown out any extra noise like neighbor's dog barking or cars with loud radios. Then I learned a trick from one of Dr Oz's guests. I count backwards from four hundred or I do my multiplication. The thing about either one is they take concentration and force other thoughts out of our mind.

when i cannot sleep, i focus on my breathing and count for each breath. that usually helps me get tired so i can fall asleep. if you cannot sleep after a half an hour, they say you should get out of bed and read to make yourself sleepy.

Yep, yep. It do happens to most of us. I really hate that feeling when all you wanted is a good night's sleep and all your getting are all the worries, simple thoughts and non sense things in your head. But I got a trick. I just do some breathing exercises to try and empty my mind. It work wonders at times, but sometimes it just can't hold off all the thinking.

HAHAHA I also know that feeling, especially during the day about 1pm-5pm I have to get some sleep because I should be awake during 9pm-5am for my online work. There's so many thoughts coming from my mind, and sometimes when I am trying to have one, there's always an interruption. What I do most of the time, I drink 1glass of fresh milk, put my phone away, and tell them not to disturb me. :)
