Aloe Vera for hair growth? Bald scalp has new growth!

I've heard that Aloe Vera is good for the hair and increases how thick your hair will become. Someone I know recently had a bald patch on his scalp. He got an aloe vera and started rubbing the meat of the aloe vera plant on his scalp and washed it off after 15 mins. Less than three weeks after I literally saw new hair growth on his scalp. Do you think this is just a coincidence or my imagination?

Hi .. I've been using aloe vera before I go to sleep for a year. And it is really surprisingly incredible, dear. Actually I had problem with the hair loss, but now I don't see any hair loss in my hair brush anymore. It increases the health and the strenght of my hair. But I don't see a significant growth result yet. It just grows normally :) But my mom said that aloe vera combined with celery is effective for hair growth & strenght.

Hair loss is a problem that faces millions of people, including men, women and even children. Aloe vera has been used by many different cultures to stimulate hair growth, and it is safe, natural and affordable. Aloe Vera an excellent plant for healing purpose is the presence of plenty of vitamins and minerals in it. It’s rich in nutrients and that makes it good for curing so many ailments. Aloe Vera also includes enzymes, amino acids, and traces of natural sugars that are required for our body. Some of these substances have good anti-inflammatory properties and are anti-microbial in nature.

If someone has a bald patch which is due to an infection and NOT due to natural hair loss (which is a function of age and the natural changes in testosterone levels), then aloe vera would almost certainly help to clear up the infection and the hair would begin to grow again. Aloe vera has bactericidal and fungicidal properties and can help the skin in general (which includes the scalp) to remain healthy. It is not a 'miracle cure'. It is just a very useful and medically-approved product which works well for certain skin conditions.

Aloe Vera is a miracle plant that does wonders to so many different aspects of our health, hair growth being one of them. I was a distributor for a firm in America some time ago and got the opportunity to learn all about it. Although Aloe Vera is marketed in different forms such as juice, gel, cream etc nothing like having a plant in your garden and using its sap whenever the need arises. There are millions of sites on the Net singing its praises. Here is one I just picked up http://aloeverabenefits.com/

I have never heard that before but it is good for many things, being a very useful kind of plant. I bought some really great plants and they are growing pretty nice for the most part, just don't water them too much they like dry soil. A friend of mine used to drink aloe vera juice for ulcerative colitis and he swore by it that ir helped him, he was an elderly man I was pen pals with long ago. Then I remembered it was also good for burns and stuff like that so I keep one plant n the kitchen. Maybe it can help baldness too, hopefully it does. I might try it as I have noticed lots of hair loss from myself lately.

Well on one hand where I truly believe the power on Aloe Vera in the field of natural beauty and for that matter in hair growth as well, I think 3 weeks is a bit too early to see an effect like that. Natural therapies help you but not that fast. You need to be consistent in using that. Well at no point am I saying that it must not have happened, I am just giving my view as to what I feel. I am also a patient of hair treatment and have a fair idea of the same.
