After all the things i've been into i am now proud to say that my baby is now2 years old. So funny coz when she turned 2 last August 7i can't even buy her cake or ice cream and don't even have food to prepare coz of heavy rain and high floods that last until August 9. I couldn't get out to buy something coz every store are closed our place looks like ghost town though im glad coz our house was not affected by floods unlike the others, my sister is now staying with us for almost a week now coz the floods entered their house and reached 2nd floor and ruined their appliances and clothes.

My baby is turning 2 years old next month. I can' t believe how fast the last 2 years have been gone, his behaviors have ben chaning dramtically for the last couple months, i can see that he is not a baby baby anymore but a toddler. I have been thinking what to do with him what birthday to get for him and i am wondering if he would understand what birthday is yet also.

I tried to avoid holding my first son too too much becaus eI was worried that he would get used to being held to sleep but now knowing how fast the time flew by when they were babies even though I know it is a bad habit to do for their sleeping... hehe, I cherish very much the time that I am with my kids! Thank you for your comment!

I have the same thinking of not to held them to sleep as they might get used to it, and you know what, when she was a baby until she was one year old she never ask to be held to sleep as she normally sleep with her pacifier and now that shes 2 years old shes very irritated that she want us to held her up to sleep coz if not then she will not stop crying, i told her why did she changed as she was not like that before, though it was started when she was hospitalized for a week and i used to help her up to sleep so she will feel better so she can sleep as she was sick that time and now im always tired coz shes into it already.

Yes your right they're like toddlers already as i always remembering the small baby in my arms so cute and so fragile and now shes so fast and so active that sometimes i felt so mad coz shes not listening though i know she still cant fully understand what is right and wrong so she rather follow what she want without thinking that it might going to hurt her.

You are not alone. We were so busy to get together to take pictures we just ate cake. Our family has been separated and until we can get together again, I don't believe we will be emotionally ready. Don't worry there is time and its a story to tell now :)

I am sure you must be proud to see your little baby getting older. I am sorry to hear about the floods , its never a nice feeling , whenever things like those are in effect you have to do all your shopping before . Flood reaching the second floor I have not seen those kinda floods that sound scary ..

Yes thats really scary though i never had that also but my sister did and bad thing coz she have 2 sons and her husband is working abroad so theres no adult guy to assist her, so they climb to the roof and transferred to the school building next to them and stayed there for a night then the next day they went to us. They lost everything, all appliances and furniture, they only have clothes covered with mud and took them a week to clean all of them. now shes still paying for a lot of money to fixed her house.

Hi homeshoppers long time not to hear from you... Its glad to hear you and your baby were good. Its seem your country dealing with flood while here its really hot and dry because we rain rarely come. I think at this point your baby haven't demanding a birthday party yet (my niece always demanding a birthday party when they reach age of 4). I hope the flood will soon go away and it will not affect your place.

Yes its been raining and flooding though its already subside now. She doesn't know how to talk straight yet and have no idea about birthday party yet so maybe by age 4 if she already go to school and aware of birthday then probably she will ask for one hehe

It's too bad you couldn't celebrate her b'day properly, but at 2 I don't think she will notice. :-) You can have a real b'day for her when things clear up. So she has reached the "terrible two's"! You are in for a wonderful time! lol! Two is a good age to teach them. At 2 & 3 they are very susceptible to learning. And I think that is a lot of fun. A child's perception of things is so different from an adult's. Their logic amazes me sometimes. I'm glad your house wasn't affected but it's too bad about your sister's house. It's a good thing she has a wonderful sister to take her in and help her. :-)

yes your right we actually have a simple celebration of her birthday today to catchup her birthday last august 7, and yes she already learned a lot of things though shes very active that sometimes she was hurt by her own action thats why i am also worried. Though with my sister we had terrible fight before to the point that we hated each other very much though it was out mother who made the move to let us reunited though we didn't say sorry to each other but she made her first move by giving gift to my baby

Hi friend, good to hear that your baby is 2 years old now. sad to hear about the flood and you don't have the ability to buy cake, why don't you try to prepare cake and ice cream by your own? other wise you can prepare some sweet for your baby's b'day. My heartiest b'day wishes to the little kid.

I dot have things to prepare for a cake ice cream since the flood was unexpected we even don't have light coz it was totally blackout so we used candle, though we had instant noodles so we just cook it and use our candle to blew. Though we just prepare some food for her birthday yesterday and a cake for her to blew with so at least we still have a simple birthday celebration with just the entire family.

She is at that 'terrible two' age... I think they call such because at that age toddlers are more active combined with their increased curiosity; yet, they are not equipped with enough ability to sense dangers. Hope things are back to normal with the floods by now...
