Soccer is a team game. Although the team is already manage well, If the player play bad, it will not win. Got a goal below 1 minute of play, is a matter of mentality. I think Brazil player underestimate the Mexico team. The coach can be blamed for not encourage the players. But once again, it is not solely the coach fault.

I totally agree with you, not saying that was 100% fault of Mano Menezes. He should have some decency and resign because he's have to be fired. This olympic team was first created and achieved the classification with Ney Franco as the coach, so, for logic he should be the coach in London, not Mano. Lucas was the titular in the classification and now Mano let him in the bench?? Brazil was losing and he only put him almost in the end of the game? I think he won't handle the pressure and he will be fired very soon, because we have available the coach that should be in the first place that is Muricy Ramalho, but he didn't accepted at the time.

Of course not, if he had this possibility, he definitely should use the 3 players over 23 years. The problem in the goalkeeper position was because the actual titular Rafael had to be cut off because of a lesion a few days only before Olympics start, the problem was having only Neto or Gabriel in the reserve position and I think he could not change for a more experienced goalkeeper. Rafael was under 23 years and probably is one of the goalkeeper for the next World Cup. The 3 chosen players was not bad..Thiago Silva is 100% right because he is probably the best defense player in the world right now, Marcelo is ok even though David Luiz maybe be the best choise, but would not chance the final result in my opinion, Hulk is one of the players that at least showed efforts in the games..the problem was not in chosing the right players over 23 years, because the mistakes were made by the younger players.

I think the cries for Mano Menezes head are now growing strong. Even before the Olympics, there were lot of news that if Brazil did not win gold, he will lose his job. So in that case, the scenario has now come true. As far as the match, Brazil were really poor, especially in the defense. Only Hulk had a decent game. Cheers! Ram

I'm not sure if it is Mano's fault completely the Brazilian Olympics team is full of youth players who are young and stupid, when your at the age of 16-23 (Olympics Football age restrictions) as a professional footballer at this age, your ego gets the best of you at times. I think that is what has hit the likes of Neymar and numerous Brazilian players. One incident in the game was when Juan and Rafael clashed, neither having a good game. I don't solely condone the players though they had an amazing tournament up to that point. I think Mano's only failure was the preparation of his team at the start of the game, they were simply too sloppy and was probably one of the worst displays of a Brazilian team i've seen in ages. My thoughts on Romario? He is a legendary footballer and in my top 10 list of Centre Forwards but his only really management coach role was as a player coach for Vasco De Gama in Brazil and that was a short lasting coaching career. I think he's acting on frustration if anything because Brazil's failure as of late but i don't think its solely down to him. If Brazil were to sack Mano Menezes who would be the right choice to take them into the world cup 2004 and the Olympics in Rio, preparations need to be made i think Brazil should take gold in Rio but a lot of work has yet to be done.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. When the going gets good, the coach is praised to heaven. When things failed, the coach will be the first in the firing line. Unless the coach is in the position like say Raymond Domenech whereby he is proven to be a poor coach and had lost the support of the dressing room, then he should be given a chance to put things right.

of course..everyone is freely for sharing and expressing their feeling.. coach is the responsibility when the bad result happens to their team..it is their job and function

If we now put Romario as citizens and supporters of Brazil it is a natural thing, because this is the aftermath of the disappointment over defeats Brazil. Mano Menezes have failed to bring Brazil to win at various events when he was coach of Brazil, if ever the supporters and angry citizens of Brazil's natural.
