How to position yourself?

It's always been a plan of God to give the best life that we can have here on earth. It's always His greatest desire for us to live with joy and peace. But, we have to know how to position ourselves so we will know where are we going. To position ourselves in the right place means to have a positive and right thinking. How would you know that you are optimistic or pessimistic? it is by the way you perceive things and situation in life. If you only have $100 or let's say $50 how are you going to feel? would you say; " poor me, I only have this kind of me" or you would say "I am lucky enough cause my money never gets zero, though I only have $100 today but I can have more than this tomorrow. In life we have to know how to position ourselves, for I believe everything comes in the mind first. If you think you are failure you will end up failure but if you think you will become successful then you will end up that way.

Trying to adapt a positive outlook in life is not simple and easy what with all the miseries we see and heralded around us. But I try to treat matters this way more so when unfavorable events and surrounding seem to dampen my spirit. If I sense a negative atmosphere, I try to look for something to keep me busy to turn away my attention and thoughts. Now if it something beyond human control I always resort to prayers. I hold on to the quotation that "If God is with us, who could be against us" and this has worked for our family countless times and in so many ways. Specific case was "Habagat flooding" that devastated our country (our place included) only last week. Flood waters leveled to more than 2 feet deep outside our residence and though we left our home before water rose to this level,only half of the living room was wet and we suffered no damage.

namiya, your foundation is indeed true. If you put your trust completely to God no matter what happen then God will take care of you. Having a faith that won't wave is indeed necessary to see God's working hand. I am glad to know that you're under God's protection for that is what God wanted to do with you; to protect you and to make you safe in His arms.

Hi,
I've always wanted to think positive but not all circumstances turns out positive, I don't like to be caught unprepared so I always think rationally. I think about what will happen if things don't turn out positive as well, what should I do and how to solve the problem. But I also agree with you if we have a positive mind set usually the result is positive. I also consider myself as lucky despite the hard experiences that I've been through, just by looking at the less fortunate people around me, I'm very thankful to God He let me borrow this life that I have right now.

meumeu to think opposite things despite the required positive thinking is somehow natural. It's good to think positive and also you have a point that thinking opposite to it would somehow help you to be prepared; human as we are we're always open to plan B :)

Thinking positive is quite hard to maintain especially when you are surrounded by situation that tells you otherwise. I try to start my day on a positive mindset but it is hard to evade the negatives that comes our way and they easily sticks on you when you encounter one that you cannot avoid.
But I guess that is right the best way to position yourself is to put up a positive mindset always.

rsa, you are right maintaining a positive mind is quite hard specially if what is happening around you isn't good. That is why we need to focus and to strengthen our mind to choose the positive thing despite the negative thing that is happening.

Attitude decide everything,no matter what kind of situation we live it is,what should we do is face the reality and get through it,always keep optimistic then you will find there is nothing you can't do in your life,everyone should always trust themselves.

actually its not really precise to say that God planned us to get the best life we can have on earth. why? because earth is a testing ground. and to test means to put you into a difficulties right? why test? because the real life He planned for us is the one up there with Him.
But he left us guide so even we are at test, our life will not be miserable. and that guide is His words. if we follow and become obedient, we can surpassed all the tests.
my guide in life is God created us equally, if i only have $10 i am happy because i can buy and eat ice cream. the one who invented ice cream has $10,000,000.00 but he can not even eat ice cream because he is sick of diabetes. who is lucky now?
