I'm waiting for this to be officially official. Not just some random news in many portal. If it's true, then it would be great for MU. But the downside is, someone has to packed their luggage soon. Berbatov is near for that, i guess... By the way adhyz, it seems the buying of Cazorla, Giroud, etc. couldn't make RVP stay longer in Emirates Stadium , no?

I think Arsene Wenger is one season late to hold back RVP. Had he brought Cazorla, Podolsky and Giroud last season, then Van Persie might not have started to think to leave. But once he decided, getting him to turn around was always going to be difficult with all the interest he obviously gets. Cheers! Ram

when Santi Cazorla comes, RVP is reported confuse.. he see the aggresive movement by Arsenal management.. but he had told that he did not want to extend his time in Arsenal.. it is impossible for him, getting back his statement..right??

RVP is a good striker, but now Mu have many player at this position. RVP will make MU's forward to stronger and more diversity than ago.But i don't like RVP although I am fan MU, now Mu need a midfield same as Yann M'Vila or Alex Song.I don't know why Sir Alex buy RVP.hix

RVP scored 30 goals and provided 9 assists last season. If having such a prodigy is a gamble, it has to be a good gamble for Manchester United. I think a lot of EPL teams as well as the top European teams will also be happy to take that gamble only if they have the chance to. Both RVP and Rooney can play deep in midfield and would provide flexibility in attack angles.

The worst possible news for an Arsenal fan like me. It is like selling your top player to your derby rivals!! I would not have minded if Man City or Juventus had taken RVP, but Man U makes it really worse. It is a far cry from those golden days when Arsenal was still a Top 2 club when the two managers would not even sell each other a smile!! For RVP, I think it is a good move provided he stays fit. BTW, there are already a lot of jokes floating around the internet on this transfer. One joke which I loved is: The deal is off as RVP failed the medical test as his back is injured. This injury was sustained when he carried Arsenal on his back the whole of last season. :) Cheers! Ram

Naturally, we did not want him to move. And if he had to move, we wanted him to move to a different league rather than a direct opponent. Cheers! Ram

When I read this news I feel happy because I am a supporter of Manchester United. It transfers Robin V. Persie to Manchester United require a long and tough process before Arsenal want to remove it by considering several options. Now Mancheseter United have a forward with good quality. And I'm sure Manchester United will take back the title of City. I think even if Arsenal lose Robin V. Persie away they will still be Arsenal team who have the power because they have a genius coach, Arsene Wenger.

It is really disappointing that RVP left. He probably has forgotten what Arsenal did for him. He is here for 7 years and in these years, last year was the only season he has performed well and he left for Man utd. The fans at Arsenal during his days chanted his name in every single game and he has repaid the gratitude in a very good manner.

Yes, bad news for everyone because with RVP, ManU are going to be very hard to beat... also, United will have a renewed defense with Vidic back. The weaknesses for United are now midfield, with Scholes and Giggs just getting too old and we don't know how good their replacements are, Anderson has not panned out... Evra and whomever plays at right back will be the only defense weakness, and that's not saying much. De Gea will be better now that he's settled in... so I predict Man U win the title this year.
