We were invited to a barangay (village) fiesta just across the street of our office. We go first to the house of the head of the village and there were lots of foods served on the table. I eat some and have my desert. Then we transfer to another house, the house of one of the employees of the municipality. Another bunch of delicious foods were offered to us. Wow! yummy! I ate that much. When my group asked where we are going next? I said, I have no more space to accommodate another bunch of foods. Oh my! I feel sleepy. Have a nice day pals!

Well, I can't even finish one cup of rice in my ordinary meal. I need to make additional room in order to accommodate more foods. Thanks for sharing dsw and cagampan. Have a nice day!

That was a lot of food! You should have brought a food container with you. Just joking. It always happen then when it's Fiesta, people in the neighborhood will invite you to try their homemade stuff or their best recipes ever and sometimes you end up eating one type of dish with different variations only. Whenever I go to such event, I always try the desserts because I am a self-confessed sweet tooth. I get to compare which leche flan is better. lol.

Good one, tetris15! Believe it or not, I have seen people literally packing foods(they brought plastic bags to store the food) up during fiestas. I don't know if you should be angry with them or just laugh it out. But, it's really eyebrow-raising especially if you're the one hosting the feast. Fortunately, that never happened in my home.

@ tetris, I am planning to do that in my next adventure. I'll follow your advice, he he. Actually, I should not eat that much because I still have to dance during the town fiesta coming August 23. It would be shameful if the dancer got a very big belly. Thank you for sharing your opinion.

You must have eaten too much in your way. When that happens again, you must take a few spoonfull of foods from one house to the next house so that when you reach your real sponsor you can still join in their celebration. You must have self control to eat more than you can handle.I know you are really enjoying going to the fiesta.Have a nice day!!!!

Excellent ideas comes from friendly talks that I just shared to you what my friends have experienced during their going to various fiestas.I have already experienced it myself to go to these events, that every house in the community have something to offer and you are really welcome that you can not say no because they will be angry if you do not eat their foods,so the best thing to do is eat 1 to 2 spoonfuls of their foods because there are many more houses that still wait when you bid farewell from your sponsor. It is very hard to go to fiestas because you are really challenge to eat them all.Good luck my friend and happy festival in your areas...........

Don't you just love festival-time?! When we had holiday foods on the table my dad would say: "Good food, good eats, good gravy, let's eat!" He was so full of fun. My mother was very proper and did not like such behavior at the dinner table. We ate our fill much as you have done and then we would lay around all afternoon and rest up for round #2. I feel you pain, ARIES.

Lol,, no more space available for some foods ! It actually always happens whenever Ied'l Fit'r comes =D We always visit almost all of the neightbours for asking apologize since Ied'l Fit'r is a day where all of the sins will be forgiven if we ask for it. But the problem is everyone cooks a lot of foods, and it isn't a nice thing if we don't eat their many kinds of foods they offer to us. so I have to manage the food comes to my "space" :P

Thank you Juliyan for sharing your tradition with us. I don't know a Muslim (am I right?) personally. We only rely on the news about the activities that you have.

A word of advice - next time try to each less rice. That way, you feel satisfied longer that your stomach can still have room for the next succeeding house you have to go to.

Actually, I cannot eat too much because I only have a small stomach but I do really reserve some space for the dessert, but to transfer to another house, that would be another issue, he he. Perhaps we could go back at snack time. Thanks for sharing ardoy!

I thought this is about no more space for you at the dining table, lol! We haven't been in any fiesta down south. I hope there is another one coming this november so hubby and I can hopefully witness the celebration.
