hello friends, Worrying is a waste of time.It doesn't change anything. It just messes our mind and steals our happiness. Sometimes in life we face challenges, and some days go by with great ease. We can say don't stress over small things, in some occasions , that is easier said than done.we spend countless hours of our life worrying about things that we have no control over. All these wont have any result. We should Simply believe in ourselves and our abilities. Some of the things that might help are, exercising, meditation, reading, shopping, talking to a friend,or watching a movie. When we are worrying about something it is hard to focus on anything else, but we should do it, we should put forth the effort..friends please your views, can add some points..

You are right. Worrying is a waste of time. But to me, it is also normal to worry on some things. We worry because on things it is or they are important. Worrying is alright but not too much. Instead of spending time with worrying, why not find the solution or think of ways to minimize the worry.

Hi prashu, my friend, I could not agree more and yet we all worry. I have been going through a time of depression recently and although I know it is pointless, I worry all the time. I feel that I know what I must do, yet I can't seem to get the energy to do it as my energy is spent in worrying. I know that sounds crazy but have you ever felt that you could help another but was never able to help yourself? That seems to be the way with me recently. Thank you for this discussion as it has helped to to see that I must do something about it now and not wait even another day. Blessings.

Ghee! I wish you could get that fact through to my brain! I was diagnosed with severe depression with panic attacks. I worry if I don't have something to worry about. Sure I have no control over a given worry but I am afraid of the unknown. I can usually back my way out of a bad attack but sometimes they just come over me and hit me too hard too quick.

Yes, I agree with you. Worry often come spontaneously. If we realize that it is futile, perhaps soon we forget worries.

When our mind is occupied with worries, it is really hard to focus on anything. Hundreds of thoughts keep buzzing in our head and it is difficult to put the thoughts away. Whenever I find myself in this situation, I close my eyes and start counting one to ten. Then I immediately put my focus on my breathing. I keep observing my inhaling and exhaling procedure and my mind comes to a rest. Last night I wasn't able to sleep. My mind was continuously busy making future calculations. I was planning how to arrange my time and make the best use of it etc etc. Also, I was thinking if I won't sleep on time how will I get up on time and this will affect my routine. Then I did what I mentioned above and within ten minutes I fell asleep. So for me meditation really works.

Hi friend, you are right, we don't get any benefits by worrying as well as our worries don't have any ability to change the things. We must organize our time and use the worrying time to do some useful things which is good for us

Good afternoon prashu, I am often worrying. I usually worry about money and people that are coming to inspect my house. I also worry about meeting new people and how the house looks when someone is getting ready to come over. My worry is that my house is not clean enough. When I have visitors I must have a spotless house even the walls need to be clean!! I have bee working very hard on not worrying as I do understand that the worry is not nessasay at all. And you are absolutely correct as it does nothing at all to change it and it does take my focus away from other more importand things.

of course, worry does not do anything nor does it produce positive results. it just gets one depressed and unable to tackle anything that confronts him/her. but it is at times difficult not to worry since the future always poses a risk of failure. and no one wants to fail. we can not help sometimes but worry.

Well, my friend. I think you've touched on this topic with a particular point that makes me reflect highly. That's right, speak their concerns, sorrows of our daily lives. I suffer a lot about this, let us call it "noise." I worry too much during the day, starting early in the morning, just woke up! I can not deny that when I have to deal with problems that are not completely indifferent (of which I have already spoken extensively in other threads), but I think it is not right to do with a "cross" and suffer every day. The distraction I would like to focus the attention, if you want me to add a note to your question is not mentioned, I can say that in my opinion, sometimes we have to do during the day, something different to break the monotony of everyday life.

I agree with you prashu on this particular idea. Since I am a very busy person, I actually have no more time to worry over things. I end each day tired so I sleep in no time once I laid my back on bed. My mind is always busy of thinking about new strategies and how to manage my time so I can earn more especially with my online job. That is aside from the fact that I have a lot of extra curricular activities.
