Guys... I'm in London at present and would like to visit Scotland on some coming weekend... Please help me with suggestions as which place to visit...either Edinburgh or Glasglow or any good place....would like to have a one night stay. Help me suggest the cheapest way to get there and how to tour...and any other useful details that I must know...we would be 3-4 people...

I suggest you look at a website called Trainline to get an idea of prices. It is best to book on there and collect the tickets at a station in London. You need to book in advance and not on the day of travel to get low prices. On the day of travel the cost would be super expensive. Try London to Edinburgh return and London to Glasgow return. Two one way advance tickets would be the cheapest ticket. You could book a coach ticket using National Express if you prefer. Due to it being August I suggest you book accommodation in advance. I hope that you will have an excellent time.

Check out the VisitScotland.com Website for some info on current attractions and how to get there. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh would be worth a visit with many attractions to offer the tourist, from food to nightlife..tripadvisor.com will give "warts and all" reviews on places to stay and eat! Enjoy your stay...
