We always had a full 5 course dinner,,,but now that I am the only one I have to cook for I as not having full course dinners. Its what I want when I want if I want...

I'm sure some people have traditions like that here but we personally don't. We've never really had family dinners, just mum and me and she would make me dinner when I came home after school but she hardly ever eats as far as I ever saw. We don't eat at the same time very often

When I was younger, my mother always made special meals on Sunday for right after church. She would make either a stew, a roast or some kind of chicken. I missed that a lot and now I don't do that here. I think that I may come up with that tradition myself to cook something yummy for my husband and I to have on Sundays, but we both work so maybe some other day. So that we can enjoy it together.

I dont get enough time to follow my family tradition also , but I am ok to the idea of starting a new one . I think starting your own tradition with you and your husband is a good idea .

We don't really have a certain special dish that we have on Sundays for dinner. What our family usually does on Sunday is that we will go over to my mother's house and we will all eat dinner together almost every Sunday. You see, my brother, sister-in-law, three nieces and my sister all still live with my mother and we really do like to spend a lot of time together because our family has always been a really, really close family.

Our traditional meal on Sundays used to be the lunch gathering in Chinese restaurants, which we called "Yum Cha" (drink tea). We have a pot of Chinese tea, and we eat Dim Sum like barbecue pork buns, shrimp dumplings, beef balls, etc. We have this tradition for many years. Nowadays, people go Yum Cha not only on Sundays but as every day meal too.

I think mostly now people go out to eat on Sunday. It is a shame. Yes, we used to all have special Sunday dinners. For a lot of years my mom would cook a beef pot roast. After she was living alone it was usually chicken with rice and vegetables. It is a good family tradition to eat together, especially family meals.

In my country no one go out on Sunday to eat really , cultures can be so different . Those are a few thing I miss about being closer to my relative . Sunday dinner is never spent alone and you get a nice home cook meal. People from my country would go out for dinner on Fridays as a way to celebrate the weekend . I think its a good family tradition to eat together .

Hi, Gone are the days when we go to market on a Sunday morning to buy pork or beef and stew them on a slow fire until tender, adding vegetables and spices before serving it hot with rice and fruits. I am a weight watcher now and eating that kind of food may aggravate the issue. Most of the neighborhood though still do the same with variations in between. Nowadays, my idea of a Sunday treat is a shake or salad of my favorite fruits with creamer, milk and crushed ice especially on hot days.

Wow I could not eat those on Sundays lol but I now we all have different life style . based on my culture the most important meal begin the week . If I was to diet I would eat a lot on Sunday then go back to my regular meal during the week , salad and shake sound nice though . It been so long since I eat stew beef , I cant cook those things but .

I hope so but with all my family starting to live in other part of the world including me that is kinda coming to a close . I am away from home for about a year now even though I still cook the recipe on Sundays whenever I can but I am not a good cooker so I would end up doing something quick instead but I miss my mother cooking lol and eating with them .
