Now a days it is noticed everywhere that very small kids say of the age between 2 to 5 are going for a tuition. Parents are working and they don't want to devote a little time for their kids instead throwing a money as a tuition fee and sending them for the tuition is a easier job for them. Plus they too get some spare time to do their work in absence of their kids.Even kids of jr and sr kg are going for a tuition. Do you think is it really necessary. In our building kids do attend the tuition with a crying face. My wife has sent back one crying boy back saying her mother if he is willing to come with a smiley face then only let him come otherwise no.

In my opinion, students of sr and jr kg needn't be sent for tuition.Their parents can help them understand their subjects well.It is the parents who can take care of their children more than any tutor can.Sending them to tuition is just wastage of money and time.Teachers are concerned with their fees. They can't pay individual attention to kids who come to study.I have seen teachers here each of whom teaches as many as fifty children at a time.It is impossible for them to see whether a particular student has properly understood the subject or not.

Hi, You are right. There are so many children at a time in the tuition class. So the tuition teacher can not pay attention to every student. These small children need personal attention while studying. Thank you for the response.

I agree with you.No teacher can be as concerned about a child's improvement as his or her own parents can be.Parents only can be the best teacher and the best tutor for their children.

That was a really nice gesture on your wife's part that she didn't actually unwillingly taught that kid only to make money which would have been the common case. As for the topic, I haven't gone to any sort of tuition for 14-15 initial years but I do not find this temperament of parents anymore. I feel parents do not give the kid his own space to develop himself into something his interest is into. He is forced into the tuition which eventually pushes him into the field of studies not even giving him a chance to flourish into some other field.

Hi, I agree with you. Parents shouldn't force their children. They should be given chance to flourish.

I think it's sad that very young children are forced into this situation. As you said, often it's because of selfishness on the parents part (although not always). Children need their parents - that's why they have them! To have to be in a "learning" situation all day isn't natural. Young children learn all the time by watching and experimenting. When we put them in a structured situation, we squelch that natural learning so they lose the ability to be creative.

Hi, You are right. At the age of three or five there is no need to send the kids to tuition. It is the duty of the parents to teach them. Thank you for the response.

working moms have little time with children. although they have caregivers to take care the children, but moms can't monitor all the time. so, they thought that sending children to tuition will provide children with quality activities. actually, as long as children spend their time with playing and fun activities, it's Ok. but, if the curriculum is to heavy and become a burden for children, better to look for another tuition class. I believe that it's better if parents teach their children directly, but regarding time availability (for working parents), it's Ok to find professional to teach the children or send children to daycare when parents need time for leisure.

That would be in time management for all the parents in how to work it out their time for their kids not only they need financial support but also in parenting in the way they want to decide in their future.

Hi, You are right. Parents have to take care of the financial management of their family and also parenting responsibility. But due to their work they can not give much time to their children. thank you for the response.

Maybe those parents are just forced to be in that situation, because they have to work and no one will take care of the child at home. So, they have to just enroll him in preparatory school, so the child can play while being taught on the basics of toddlers.

I have a feeling that the kid should learn because there is so much competition out there but tuition I guess is not that important as far as the kids knows what others are studying. One can teach at home if the mother is housewife. All my cousins aere teaching the kids at home. and if the kid is ready to go and mix with his or her friends that is much better. thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Almost all children have no desire to learn. They want to play or sit in front of computers or TV. I think parents need to get them to learn and help themselves or with private lessons.
