a baby left outside

my office mate just told me this story..
she said her cousin that lives in one of the villages here,said that last night they heard a baby crying near their area...
since her place is full of trees and a bit scary, they did not go out as they were thinking it was a ghost as they have no neighbors that near and only have cows outside...so they ignored the crying and went to sleep.
that morning, the husband went outside and saw a baby around 4 month old..outside near a water well / water pump ( in tagalog"poso" not sure if i am right lol) and the baby was lying on its stomach! They thought it was just a ghost but it was not! They went and carried the baby and saw that it was still alive! They rushed it near the health center and the baby is alive.
They really do not know the mother or whose kid is that.... sad that the mother left but it was a blessing for them somehow. They want to adopt the baby and the baby said to be sooo cute.
for some reasons i do not know how some mother could just leave their baby.

It is so heart breaking that the baby was just left there by the well the whole night, since it was seem seem to have been heard crying.
The mother could have at least asked if they could adopt the baby , not left it outside to be just found whenever it can be.
I am really so angry with the mother of that baby. 
They say that it gives you luck in life if you find an unwanted baby, though.

I was also infuriated when i heard the story but somehow life is that way, there are ones who get pregnant and could not carry its responsibility and give away the child much worse leave the child

I wonder how the mother can take it in her conscience, that the baby was left just outside. She wasn't even sure if the baby was safely taken in.

Babies are always a blessing to the family, it's really sad that the mother could just leave her child there out in the cold at night. What if there were some animals who have taken it?
It's sad really, but perhaps the mother was just not fit to be a mother. Perhaps she didn't think she could take care of it. But I would have hoped that she would just knock at the door and asked if you could adopt the baby instead of leaving the baby outside.
We will never know the reason for the mother, but it's really sad. I hope the child would be healthy and would never feel unloved.

Thank God the baby is okay after a night out there in the dark.
I hope the couple can adopt the baby and provide the baby with
a good environment and family to grow up with. There are many
reasons why a mother would leave their own baby, even though
it would be a tough decision. There are many cases in Malaysia
too until many NGOs came up a place for people to leave their
babies anonymously in order to encourage birth right. Some even
killed their babies, throw in the bin, toilet ...

Things like this really happen for one reason or another. Well, as for me, it is better to leave the child for others to take care of rather than killing them through abortion. At least the baby is alive and this will give other people who might want to have their baby a chance to adopt one.

Hi,
Your office mate is so kind that she and her husband are ready to adopt that baby. But I always wonder that how the mother is so cruel who can throw her child. Why such mothers give birth to the child if they don't want to accept the child. Really it is very disgusting.

those things are not scarce in my country,especially when the baby have some congenital disease.you konw,some parents have their own difficulties,as our country are not rich ,maybe even making life is very hard for them.i dont mean that i am consent to their behavior ,but they maybe have no other choice.i want my nation can do something for that

There are so many people out there who would do anything to give birth to their own child but are unable to and then there are horrible people out there like this that abandon their children. Its just not right. I am so glad the baby was ok and it really does have a happy ending that the people want to adopt this baby. What a wonderful thing for this poor child to have already been found by someone to love it without it having to be moved from one foster home to the next until someone wanted to adopt the child.

I think it is sad... I don't understand how some mothers can do that either... as a mother myself, I love my children so much that I can't imagine I would even think about hurting them...

I am not a mother yet but I feel pity for the baby maybe the mother can't raise the baby but she must left the baby in a safe place.
I don't want to judge the mother cause I don't know the real story behind it
It is good that the baby is in good hands

It's too sad that a mother has to leave her baby, maybe because she thought that she didn't have the resources to keep it alive.
Let's hope that some nice family will take it under their wings.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this incident, luckily the baby is alive, as you mentioned they are interested in adopting the baby, there is nothing wrong in their decision and the baby got a new guardian now.
