Football makes people stupid...VERY STUPID!

They say that football is a drug for people anywhere.
I guess it's true.
Here's why. As you all know there is a crisis, or so they say, around the world.
Greek politicians made sure we are in a very bad state right now.
Football clubs owe millions to the state and can't pay because the keep the money for themselves.
So, people want the teams and they do not want them to stop playing.
On one side people protesting about unemployment, taxes, companies closing and other problems caused by shortage of money. On the other side peopple want their teams, so the state desides to delete those debts. That means that Greece loses millions in taxes that would help us be in a better condition than now.
People watch football and they are happy. We have lost millions but it's OK!!!
How can you protest about taxes that you have to pay when you just throw away millions that others have to pay? And how come you do not protest against football clubs? Are people really that stupid?

Well, just to answer your last question, I can tell you YES, people are really stupid on this side!
Even in Italy the economic, crisis, etc. are not much better than in Greece.
There is no work, there are millions of unemployed people, all the services are bad but ... people care about: how he played this, the referee made ??a mistake, the penalty was not there, and so on!
Now how is it possible to give more weight to a sport practiced by people millionaire moments when we also take away the dish to eat!
Yet it seems an absurdity, but it's true!

It's like they are stupid and blind. They do not protest about the crisis, but for the teams.!!!

One of the reasons I don't like football is the insane amount of money they earn while people are struggling. Clubs pay millions to buy a player while people in the country are losing their work, their homes and many have almost nothing to eat... It really is disgusting... :(

They cut down my father's pension money every two months. All the money he paid for his pension while working, will never be paid back.
But we have football....OK!!!!

No. Not exactly. The 'stupidity' you are talking about is the GREED of those people who don't pay their debts.
Of course, an even STUPIDER stupidity is that people maintain that money is real ... that is, they keep records of what people owe them. If we're gonna go there, then this world owes me $14,000,000,000,000,000 (that's 14-trillion dollars). If people want to say I owe them money, I always tell them to take it out of the 14-trillion they owe me.
