It is already September and I can already feel the cold wind especially during early dawn. We cannot deny the fact that Christmas season is already fast approaching. In our country which, has been known for having the longest Christmas celebration in the world, people are already preparing this early for that especial event. Some are already planning on what kind of decorations they are going to have in their homes, while some are also planning out the events to be conducted on that event. Don’t forget the gifts that we are preparing for our loved ones and friends. Some are already preparing a list to make sure that nobody is forgotten. Others are also making it a point to do an early shopping to prevent the Christmas rush. This is a common scenario in our place. How about you my dear myLotters, how do you celebrate your Christmas or should I say, do you also celebrate this kind of event?

Just like you, we have started doing our Christmas shopping and somehow have started decorating the house with ornaments. This make is more exciting coz we get to decorate the house with the help of the kids, too. It is catastrophic at times coz kids would be running around with the garlands on their hands. But is is such a happy feeling when you know that Christmas is just around the corner.

I have losted alot of my passion for Christmas over the years. Main reason is here in the US it has become so commericalized the fun and joy as been taken out! So many people only care about spoiling the crap out of their kids with presents! I know so many people who do this and get in such Christmas debt it takes them a year or more to pay those bills off! It is insane and the true meaning is no where to be seen! I grew up believing Christmas was the celebration of Christ's birth. Instead I see the manufactures and stores pushing Christmas earlier and earlier every year! On top of that I've had some lousey Christmas's! So I am not a Christmas lover and only go CHristmas shopping after Thanksgiving for a few people. My youngest neices and nephews get money to be put in their college funds! I do spend time with my family around Christmas and that is my favorite thing of the holiday.

I completely agree with you! That's exactly what I meant in my post, the true purpose of Christmas is kind of being taken out/Forgotten. When asked what is Christmas all about,I hear the kids/even some adults reply,''gifts!Santa!Getting cool stuff,Shopping, food!'',yes, all of those are good, but what about getting together with family and friends and coming together to celebrate the birth of Christ? I also know a lot of people who fall into a lot of debt at this time of year,I just think it's truly ridiculous. People are really forgetting what the whole thing is about.

Though I will admit that I've already started my Christmas shopping, I have to admit that for me the Christmas season doesn't really begin until after the 4th of December. The reason that this is the case for me is because of the fact that my daughter has a birthday on the 4th of December and it is very important to me to keep her birthday and Christmas separate. Now that doesn't mean that I won't enjoy the lights and such before her birthday, but in our home, we don't start decorating until after Kathryn's birthday.

Its getting colder where I live as well. However I think it would be a little too early to start celebrating Christmas. Personally I would rather get Halloween done and out the way first.

not yet in our place.. i guess because we do not live in a huge place where everyone does not know everyone else so its pretty much a bit not close community. :D but then well here in our office, we do feel the christmas spirit already because there's christmas tree everywhere in the vicinity of our workplace!! :D

I celebrate Christmas on December 25th each year. The entire holiday season runs from Thanksgiving (in late November) through New Year's Day (January 1st). I'm still only seeing Halloween decorations in the stores, but pretty soon every store will have Christmas decorations out! Where do you live and how long is your Christmas season? Our temperatures have been fluctuating quite wildly-this morning, it was 47 degrees F and by 2:00 or so this afternoon, it was 70 degrees F! Tomorrow it will be VERY humid (a lot of rain too) and quite sticky, but the transitions between seasons have always been frustrating!

i am busy buying and making a bunch of Christmas presents right now! i am like you because i like to have stuff ready and wrapped before Christmas so i can rest and not get too stressed out, i am hoping to make some food gifts closer to Christmas as well. we generally go to church on Christmas Eve and then spend time with family and friends over the holidays.

i have actually started buying gifts last month. i even put some things on lay a way at walmart. i have ideas what to get everyone for christmas. it's our tradition to put the tree up thanksgiving weekend. this year, we're thinking of adding more lights to the yard, since we actually have one. my niece and i made some "lollipops" last year, so i'm hoping we can do that again this year.

I am already feeling the cool breeze of Christmas but have not really done anything to prepare for it. I think it is too early. I think I would start preparing by October. I've always been promising every year that I will avoid Christmas rush but sadly I also fail to do this every year. Again I am promising the same thing this year and hopefully I can fulfill it this time around. By October I will start shopping for gifts and have them wrapped so that as November comes I can have those gifts displayed beneath the Christmas tree. Last year I set up the Christmas tree too early. I think I should not do that again because as December came, my Christmas became quite boring because it has been standing there for long.

yeah I know christmas is just around the corner men I want to be able to buy the gadgets that I want for this coming christmas. the key into enjoying christmas better is by starting now and feeling the season by spending time with your family or maybe eat dinner with them outside its just fun and life is too short so make sure you make the most out of it. Goodluck and happy mylotting!

Christmas is coming. Everybody has it's own plan how they will celebrate Christmas and everybody are excited of this occasion. Like me, I'm very excited to celebrate Christmas because this is the first time to celebrate with my wife. I don't have a specif plans for this Christmas all i want is to Celebrate it with my love one, because my wife is giving birth this coming December so that's my big plan and excited to see my first son.

I love this post!I'm a huge fan of Christmas and this year,I want it to be extra special. I know it's like 3 and a half something months away, but hey!Time goes fast and before you know it you will be in a rush to get things done/presents packed, that's why now i begin my planning of gifts/deco 3 months beforehand.I think Christmas is the most special time of the year, the stress is worth it as there's nothing more rewarding than spending time with your family/friends and getting together to celebrate. It's sad though that people forget what Christmas is really all about, not just gifts, food, santa, but also baby Jesus, the savior was born to die for our sins. But anyways,I'm hoping this Christmas would be super awesome, better than last year.Yes,I'm already feeling the cold!Imagine how awful winter time would be if there was no new year/Christmas,no celebrations!Depressing much.

Preparing as early as this time makes us avoid the rush and like what you said this will avoid of forgetting someone in the list. Before not until I got into a realationship, we did not celebrate Christmas because of our religion but we still participate in occassions like parties and lantern parades.
