Spring is starting and so it´s time to pant my seedlings

One tomato seedling in each container. - It´s not an easy job, but tomatoes are my favorite veggies when taken ripe from the plant.

My Daughter Claudia bought some tomato seedlings and she divided her bounty with me. I will later divide my bounty with her, because I am not sure that she will have time to plant hers or take care of the plants. The has 2 children from a former marriage, his partner has 4 and they have my baby Sofía between them. Both work and now they decided not to have a house helper. So I will plant my tomatoes and give some of the fruits for her extended family Today I woke up lazy, but thought about the poor tomatoes and placed each one in a big container with good earth to place them on earth in a couple of weeks. What do you plant in this season where you live? Share

I remember when I was still a child ages from 5 - 13, I was living with my parents, they always ask me to help them planting some seeds in our garden. We have plenty of vegetables on our surroundings. No need to buy from the market. All are fresh we pick up and harvest. Now, it's different. No time for planting. All vegetables we bought from the market and from the nearest mall. I missed all those things

I love to plant some veggies (and flowers too) even though I live in the city and my garden is not big. But even a small lettuce or some tomatoes bring special happiness to my life.

Instead of flowers, my father want to plant more veggies so we can use it daily if needed. Of course, we love it eat. Never tried planting lettuce in our garden but I love to eat that kind of veggies even when I was in Saudi Arabia.

I have 15 tomato seedlings already separated from the clump. I hope they will grow to be nice big plants full of fruits. Lettuce are cold weather crops here. But we don´t have snow. So I just planted them and covered them from frost. I have a couple of them that I will have them go up and seed so that I can have more lettuce next year.

So nice of you sister, she will be so happy no doubt, i had some space in the lawn earlier, but now after renovation it is gone, i intentionally did it, because what ever you plant is stolen, i have a room top garden , there i have planted some flowers plants and tomato, the yield is not much, it needs care...

My daughter Claudia loves to garden, friend, so we usually share our small crops. It´s more like playing, but it´s fun and part of nature´s miracles. I have read with much interest your post about your niece´s marriage and also read at the web about the arranging of marriages, but I haven´t been able to respond to that post as it is more profound and requires more time. Take care!

I have some coriander planted in a container. When it´s almost ready to eat, I plant some more. I love fresh coriander leaves! It´s nice that you can work with other people and make friends while you work. We don´t have here that sort of houses. There are senior homes (a place I would not love to be as it has too many rules) or you can stay at your own home.

As you know, here in North America we are getting ready to start the fall season over the weekend. There are some people that do try to keep a beautiful garden during the fall season, but I am not one of those people. Instead, what we are typically doing in our lawn and garden during this season is simply trying to keep things straightened up so that when everything comes back to life next spring the yard will not be in complete shambles.

Leftovers from Winter crops - I still have some lettuce and chard from my Winter crops.
We have a mild Winter where I live so I just covered my raised beds from frost and had my Winter lettuce. I still have some lettuce and chard but soon they will have to give their space for Summer crops. I have chard elsewhere, with less sun, but lettuce will have to wait until next year. Now I´m working for a Summer crop.

Hi marguicha! I am really excited and curious especially if my friends from other countries would mention about the seasons. In our country we don't have spring and autumn that is why I am very happy to see some discussions like this. I feel I am very lucky that I have friends from all over who can share other things that we don't have in our place. About planting tomatoes, I am also glad to know that you have this kind of activity in your place. Do you do it only as a hobby or some kind of job? Wish you could enlighten me further. Thank you. I am glad that we became friends.

We have four seasons, although Spring turns quickly to Summer and Autumn is just the begining of Winter as I see it. But our climate is mild and we can have flowers and veggies all year around. I plant some tomato plants to eat. This year I have 15 seedlings, I live in a big city, so there´s no room for planting too much as the soil is very expensive. I am retired and used to be a literature professor at the university. Now I mylot, write, garden and cook.

How nice of you to have her family in mind. I hope that your tomatoes will do quite well so you can share and help them out like you wish to.

I often share these small crops with my daughter Claudia as she loves to garden too. My other daughter is the kind of person that will bring me the sugar and the jars so that I make apricot jam for her from the aprocots of my apricot tree. She has no patience with plants.
