I've never been to the Phillippines (except for a transit at Manila airport), but I have tasted Filipino food. I like the dessert type drink such as 'halo-halo' and snacks like 'lumpia'. I've tried Adobo; and Sinigang, is it the 'sour soup'?

Hi I have not tasted filipino food as yet. I would love to taste it. Does it somehow have similar taste of thai food?

yeah, it is just like thai food , but i find thai food spicy much more on spicy taste unlike filipino cuisine that has a right blend of salt, sweets and spicy.

Wow, your discussion made me hungry. LOL. I am a Filipina so I tasted everything you've mentioned above. Good for you because you've learned how to cook. I love eating our cuisine my problem is I can't cook those dishes. I can cook vegetables. It's easier for me than cooking with chiken, pork and beef. LOL. I guess I am not that confident so I never tried cooking them alone until now. If I cook, someone needs to be around me. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

i really agree that filipino food is far better than the others. Filipinos how to cook well like me. We know a lot of ways how we can make a dish be more tasteful and we can also add twists on the usual taste of every dish. We can also remove the not so adorable after taste of fish or meat in every dish. I am proud to be a filipino and I will always love to cook and eat a lot :-)
