As I posted several months ago about our house being rented for a local movie, the film is ready to be shown at this month. I saw the full trailer in youtube and it really was astonishing to see, although our house was not included in the trailer, but anyways hoping to see the movie with my family.

well.. if that was my house i wouldn't want to see the movie. why? because if my house was in a scene with ghosts and monsters, i'd be imagining those ghouls to be actually present if ever i am at home. my nights will never be the same. moments when i should be alone wouldn't really be alone anymore. of course, i wouldn't have rented my house in the first place.

Lol I'd probably be the same way even though the ghosts or scary things are all made up. I think I would rather have my house rented for a movie that's not scary. I wouldn't want to have any nightmares.

Most of the scenes were outside the house, and the horror/scary part was done in the studio with all those sort of film effects as explained by the technical people who were there during the shoot. The good part about it is the rent for three days for the house.

well, that rent part is good though. oh, and i hope you asked for free passes to the movie too? i'd seen some horror movies too. some of them i like, some don't. but anyway, i hope you'd enjoy the movie. @courtknee: yeah, the mind plays things sometimes. then it starts imagining things.

Wow that's so cool! I've never actually known anyone who had their house rented for any type of movie. What's the name of the movie? I love horror movies and I'd like to see the trailer

Yes, quite cool plus the rent money, lol! You can see the trailer at youtube "Pridyider". It some sort of horror/suspense fiction, and centers on the creature who dwells on the refrigerator [pridyider in our language]. Lots of special effects that sort make it horrifying.

Yeah, quite cool and exciting to see of how shoots that we saw would come out in the movie especially the part where our house was a part of. My son actually bought a pirated DVD copy, lol! We are going to watch it tonight together which would be more cheaper, lol!

Cool, your house is rented for a horror movie, may be after that, many buyers will be calling you to place a bid to buy your house, they may have show great interests in having a property that shown up in a nationwide movie trailer. Hopefully it is not becoming a haunted house after the making of the film, and all the ghosts and demons in the movie will be gone with the film director and move back to his studio.

We have seen the movie, and only had glimpse of the house itself as most of the scenes were made in the studio with all the special effects. Although seeing our house in the movie for a couple of seconds is a good thing to see, lol! There were no ghosts or demons as the film is a horror fiction.

It's a local movie here in our country, although the trailer could be seen in youtube. There were project coordinators who went over and asked if they could rent our house for film shooting, and that's about it.

Wow, that's great to hear. I wonder about the movie title. I guess your house is really nice. They just did some things to make it look scary. It's just a movie so we shouldn't think of negative things. Whenever I'm afraid, I always pray. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

There were things or props that they've added to make it scary, but all in all the special effects were done mostly in the studio. As i have seen the movie trailer on youtube, "pridyider", then you will know what I mean. Anyways, thanks also for sharing and a happy day to you.

Yes, you surely have a good memory. We have seen the trailer in youtube "Pridyider" and we really are excited to see the movie in full in the theaters especially the kids as they are too curious and excited to see how the movie as a whole turned out as they have seen the actual shooting of some parts of the movie.

Oh wow, nice to know that your house got rented for filming purpose. Does your house resembles horror somehow. did you see the whole shooting?

Actually, the house was rented for just three days, and most of the scenes were outside the house. The film/shootings were done mostly at night, and there were a lot of people watching, so it was more fun and exciting than being horrified, lol? Seeing the shooting episodes was really exciting.

Actually it is more of an extra, not a star, lol! I think what you would see is the outside features of the house as most of the shots were taken outside, lol! And in addition, probably it would be a few minutes that you would be able to see the house or maybe not noticed it, lol!

For me it will be an honor that my place is being chosen as one of their locations for shooting. Of course you will see artist, directors on your own place and watching them acting in front of the camera it was great! ^_^ What was great about it was when you see the movie you will just blur out "hey there's our house he he he!" You will also learn how a shooting works. How it was done etc. Nice discussion. Thanks for sharing ^_^
