Do you really believed that there is Snakeman at Robinson's Mall?

There has been this mysterious rumor since 90's in this particular mall, Robinsons Galleria hides a mysterious creature behind its dressing rooms. That creature was said to be a half snake, half human. And is the twin brother of Robina Gokongwei, daughter of Robinson,s founder, John Gokongwei Jr. There are claims that every time that half man, half snake is hungry, he will pick one unlucky, beautiful girl that is using the mall's dressing room. And the floor is said to open, ending the unlucky girl to a series of pipes and slides her into the human-snake's chamber. And the human-snake will eat her. Some says that the human-snake would even rape the girl before eating it. While other versions of the story said that there are no series of pipes, the floor will just go wide open, dropping the girl into a deep and dark place. Into the basement where the human-snake dwells and will eat her. And another story says that the mirrors in the dressing room serves as trap doors that opens when the human-snake picked someone and will send the girl to the human-snake's chamber. On the other hand, some people strongly believe that these rumors aren't true. That these are just a product of the tightening competition between Robinsons Malls and SM malls during that time.

I have to see it before I would believe it, that's the case in most scenario. As for this one, No. I don't believe it. Like what the others have said, it might be a plot to ruin Robinson's reputation, we can never tell, right?

i heard this story, too. it's really hard to believe. i would likely believe the attempt to ruin Robinson Galeria by its competitors. just like the spreading rumors about Pepsi. all for the love of money.

Nope, I don't think its true. Simply because it would be discovered by the media long before. And there's no such thing of a snake man even when we search the internet. There might be a living elephant man but never heard of a man which resembles a snake. The good thing about this is that the mall is a success and still growing to be one of the biggest business int he country. Surely the snake man hearsay did good to the business.

Well I guess these are just rumors to discredit the store and frighten people from coming to the store. I think that these are just urban legends as I recall in my province where the there are no Robinson's Mall there is also a large department store there that has similar story of a snakeman trying to kidnap customers.

As long as there is no proof, we should not believe in it. There are lots of rumous in my country, too that says that if we want to get rich quickly, just go to South Coastal Area in West Jaya. People who hear this rumour, just accept is the truth.

i also have heard about that when I was a child and I was afraid to go into dressing rooms but then come to think of it, it may just be a bad rumor started so that less people will try to buy dresses at Robinson Malls and instead go to the competitor malls. but then there is no proof nor families who have been searching for their loved ones so I guess it is no truth at all

Of course this is not true. Educated people will just laugh on this story specially today. These is just one of the Filipino myths that you can read in our National Library.

I've heard that urban legend too, the same way I heard when I was a kid that they sacrificed babies or young children in the sugar mills of Negros so that sugar would always turn white, that's what it is an " urban legend" http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/urban+legend

I can't truly believe this but a lot of people are testifying that it's true. Part of the story was before the parents are so poor that they sold their souls to Satan for them to get rich that resulted for them to have children with eyes like a snake and the other one has a snake's head. Hopefully it's not true.
