I need a quiet place to work..

I've started taking some jobs by myself as a freelancer, and I find it difficult to concentrate at home. My office is in my bedroom so I have to work in the same room where I am sleeping. I used to do that as a student, but now it's different, I feel like I need to change the environment in order to concentrate! So I decided to check the city library, I've never been there but I think it will help me be more focused to work! The problem is that I think they don't have internet connection, I had contacted a staff member a few months ago by e-mail and she said that they don't provide wireless internet.
Anyway, I will go there tomorrow to see the environment and if it's quiet and has enough light, I will go to work there for a couple of hours. I don't need wireless for my job now, but I won't be able to check my emails or find information if I need to! I hope this local library environment will help me start with a better mood my day :) Do you prefer working at home or you like to go outside with your laptop and get some work done in an environment that's different from home?

It is better to have seperate place for every thing like for studying you should assing a good suitatble place and should not be like your bedroom similarly your work room should be mend like that. If you are thinking of doing freelace work then I suggest you to go for wireless newtwork rather than fixed one. and have one good laptop with latest wifi feature. Good luck with your freelance work. By the way what kind of freelancing you are going to do...

I have wireless at home but I don't really have a room where I can be alone and concetrated besides my bedroom. I prefer doing the work in a seperate place, I've noticed that I am a lot more productive when I do that.
I tried the local library but I didn't like it because the lighting is low and it smells like it's been closed for a long time. I think they don't open the windows to get fresh air very often! Also, the whole library is very small, with only one room for the books, the table for the readers and the front desk with the librarian so it's kind of distracting and not as quiet as I was I was hoping!
I am an independent engineer and I decided to start my own business, but I haven't found an office yet because I already have a morning job. So I take projects at home in the afternoon and I'll rent an office in a few months when I have the funds and I am sure that I can fully support myself!

Working at home is much easier if you are alone! Now someone comes in my room to say whatever comes in mind and I really want to concentrate! I prefer being in a library with people around me that respect the silence of the room. This one is a city library and I only went to check it out yesterday. It seems that only a few people visit it every week so I guess I might be alone there which is perfect!

I am a freelancer as well, and I always struggled to find a place to work. When my family are all out, I can just sit in the front room because it is all nice and comfy, although when they are in I can't concentrate because I just end up talking to them. I set up a small desk in another room and I find that I can really get a lot of work done when I am sitting there. It is important that you find somewhere for you to work where you can be alone then you can concentrate on the work that you're trying to do. It's well worth setting up a good place because it will be good for you in the long term.

The only room that I could use as an "office" is my dad's office but it's not actually free bevause he spends in his office many hours. All other rooms are't appropriate because our kitchen is connected to the living room and my mother sits there to cook and do the housework! So I am left with my own room where I can have some privacy. It would be nice to have an office for me but I am not thinking about it yet. I want to see how it goes because I still have my morning job and I won't leave it until I am sure that I can be successful!

I will be tired of the same environment too. sometimes you need to go out and do work. Since you have been doing it so you need to go out for a change. Moreover because you like a quiet place, there will not be a better place than library. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

I'd like it more if the library had wireless interet but in a way this might be helpful after all! I really want to work in a different environment and not in my room! Especially when it's messy or when my family interrupts m I feel like I'll never be able to focus on the job! Have a nice day too!
