Did You Upgrade Your Ipad OS to version 6?

I have an Apple iPad 2 and have been using it for a year now. I noticed a prompt and when I clicked on it, it gave me an option to upgrade the iPad operating system to version 6 which is the latest. I did say yes and it upgraded without any error message. I recently found out that whenever I plug the laptop to an AC outlet it does not charge or at least the battery icon on the ipad does not show that it is charging. I have not seen a lot of write-ups on the internet about it. Maybe because it is just new. Is anyone having the same issue and was able to fix it? Let me know what you have done to resolve the issue. Thanks
