Some states and cities are starting to place laws that you can not text or talk on the phone while driving.I don't text while I drive but I will occasionally talk on the phone. Do you talk or text while driving? Do you think there should be laws banning it?

No, I never text nor call while driving since I am just new to driving and I don't want my concentration to falter. If I really have to answer a call or read a text, I will stop on the side, put the car on hazard, and then do my texting or calling. I do plan to invest in a hands-free earpieace or headset for calls but I am not in a hurry. I still think that absolute no texting or calling is still the way to go.

It's forbidden to do so over here unless it's hand's free. It's hard to say if that has to be forbidden as well since it's not forbidden to eat, drink, play with your radio, read a map, etc. All these actions can be dangerous as well. I don't call or text while driving I even don't answer the phone when it's ringing and I have other things to do. I have my phone for me, in cases of need. If I answer a phonecall I want to have time for that person. So I also don't call outside on the street, in the bus, in the supermarket etc and surely not if there are many, noisy people around me. I think that is rude.

I agree, I don't talk on the phone in public places either. I see some people talking while they are shopping. I don't think I could do both at the same time even if I wanted to.

There are such bus drivers who make phone call during the course of driving with so many passengers on it. I don't like to see drivers making calls as it is dangerous and I think that there should be laws banning it for the safety of both the drivers' and the passengers'.

I don't text or talk on the phone when I'm driving. There's too many accidents and young people being killed because of texting while driving. I feel if you have the urge to text somebody and you're in a car please pull over and do it not do it while you're driving. If I need to call someone because I'm lost or something then I will pull over and call them I won't do it while driving. It's hard to concentrate on the road when your talking on your phone and I can't even stay in my lane if i was to text and drive. I wish people would not do this too many lives being taken because of it, there needs to be more laws banning texting and driving and talking and driving. There is a law here in NYS for both no texting and driving and drivers our getting ticketed if got doing either one.

I don't text while I'm driving. Sometimes if I have a headset I will talk on the phone though. These can be distractions and if it is a law then the police officer should also have to abide by it.

I do not text while driving. But do occasinally talk. I know I am not suppose to but there are certain things that cant wait for you to pull over. There are laws here stating that you are not suppose to do that but I see everyone doing it including cops.
