there is a tree that bears fruit of some local vegetable. i don't know actually the english word for it and i even actually forget its local name most of the time. anyway, i googled it , its camias ginger lily. they usually add it on the local cuisine like fish and sometimes they just put some salt and just eat it as is. I don't like the taste so i just gave it away. anyway, from time to time my neighbor and sometimes some family friend would ask for it. i have added the picture. so i hope it does show along with my discussions. but i am glad that i can help somehow so that they would have something to add to their dish. it just usually fall on the ground and makes a mess. and another neighbor about the mess he has to clean when driving out of the street.

In the photo it looks like a cross between a bell pepper and a cucumber. It certainly is plentiful, what does it taste like?

They are called Bilimbi fruits, they are related to star fruits. In peru we make lemonades out of them
