Here comes the campaign period again and many politicians and wannabes are now getting ready to expand their influence and acquire lits of votes. But its undeniable that many of them are not sincere in their service. Most of them are just there to take advantage of the public's money. Our government is a boiling pot of corrupt officials, may it be from the national or the local levels. Its very sad to say that corruotion has really become a part of our culture.. And culture is somewhat inherited. So if this is not solved now, then it will be passed on from generation to generation.. Ugh! Im just so sad to always think about this matter everytime election period starts. The philippines is hopeless.. Hopeless... Hopeless... Hopeless...

It does seem to be hopeless, but try not to give up. It might still be possible to rid our country with these corrupt politicians. Maybe not immediately, not in this generation but the next. Besides, losing hope now would only swell up the number of these corrupt public officials. I mean, the more people giving up on this issue, the more these politicians freely engage in corrupt practices.

It's not hopeless, we don't have to vote for these people because I know I didn't vote for them. I know nothing can stop them from doing corrupt stuff, not to mention they will pay for those who wanted to vote for them. but i don't have to vote for them, i don't need to. but i will hear their speeches in the forums and debates. have a nice day

Personally I feel that you will see this no matter what country you live in, and unless someone is willing to stand up and put a Stop to this, nothing will ever get done. Usually what people tend to allow in office is wrong, and often does not benefit the people it needs to help. All we can do is sit by and watch, and if you Pray pray for them and your country and somehow hope something better will come from it all in time.

I think it will remain hopeless unless each and everyone would start voting the right person in power. I think corruption starts with the voter who voted the corrupt politicians. We should not always point fingers to them but the voting public who place them there. So the question is are you mature enough voter to convince others to vote according to their conscience and not basing on popularity of the person running.

Hello Mickzrodge1116 yes they are expanding their influence to people who have no access to education or any not smart enough to chose the best candidate. Some are living in their parent's celebrity thing, or current job as a senate or congressman or woman. I can't wait to see them in these debate. One thing is for certain though. I won't vote for them next year because they allowed this Cybercrime LAW to pass with out consultation and additional review. but i will hear those platforms form other candidates who were not in the senate and also running for the same position

HI Mickzrodge, It's rather sickening to know that there are a population who can be bought. Sometimes people can be so blind that they forget to reason properly. As my father have said, "if one is starving, he might just eat dirt", do you think this so?
