hello friends, I know, many people( may be all) say "yes" . As they say,"failures are the stepping stones to success" and also "we know the value of success when we face the failure" .But is it so easy? How nice the life would have been with out any failures or defeats or pains ?friends please share your views.

Hi prashu, That is an interesting thought, but isn't it like wanting to go back and live our lives over, while remembering the mistakes we made before? The fact is we would know nothing about failure if we didn't experience it and we would have nothing with which to compare successs. If we never felt pain, could we appreciate good health? Blessings.

I couldn't have said it better Pose. You hit the nail on the head. I've experienced the pain of failure and the joy of success. I believe both extremes have molded me into the woman I am. Many blessings to you Pose.

ah, i agree, no pains no gains, we all enjoy our success and forget all the pains which we undergo in the process. may be this the beauty of life

Yes, life would be a real bed of roses if there were no failures, pains or defeats. But it would be a real boring world if everything went the way we wanted it to each and every time. Life isn't like that. We need alittle strife to keep us interested in striving harder.

I think unless people go through some pain and some bad times they are ill equiped to handle life. We need to experience both good and bad to really appreciate how good things can be. If it was all good it would become uniform and we wouldn't realize how different each is. And we would be innocent of anything but the good.

very bad experience, which is purely not in our hands, but still people try to live their life irrespective of all the pains, still in search of success and for a brighter tomorrow. such people are like lamp for those who are in darkness, and unsure of their fate or success.

failures and defeats make people appreciate the success that they manage to achieve after having go through so much hardship. Most people if they got succeeded without experiencing these, they would not appreciate what they have achieve and eventually they lost everything they had. Yet, I still prefer to achieve success without having to go through defeats or failures.

Yes. I also feel like this in an ordinary thing. For example it takes 22 hours by air to travel from India to USA. The last three hours will appear as if it is very tough to manage. On reaching the airport especially our native country --I use to feel a sigh of relief. sometimes when I get diarrohea -- acute--I use to feel that this will not leave me and I will die. But thank God after a few days I use to recover and feel a sigh of relief. You are right. when a person walks under hot sun he will realise the goodness of a shade. A man who is really thirsty only will appreciate the necessity of water.

yes, of course, all thinks of life without any pains, but its highly difficult or impossible, as we know, so we accept it ,and say that's what life is all about , we don't have any power to avoid it, so compromise .

In any aspects of life, there is always a negative and a positive. You cannot recognize success if you do not understand failures. I think we cannot appreciate success if we don't under go sacrifices.

If you have $100-- you can keep it in right pocket. If you keep it right pocket then left pocket will not have that amount. In life only if we give up one we can get another. Now I have decided not to watch videos and hence I am able to post responses in mylot. In Toronto -- my daughter has to take enormous efforts to give sofa free of cost to people. When it is offered free also -- four persons came in person --saw and then left-- because it involves work and spending money to take it to their home. Nothings moves in this world without reason. We are all here in mylot for some reason-- earnings, sharing, spending time, friendship whatever it may be. Failure has to be taken along and even then we should run a few metres to succeed. Thomas Alva Edison is said to have failed nearly 1000 times. Abraham Lincoln succeeded only towards the end of his life.

well to understand the taste of sweetness we have to know the taste of bitterness or sour, both are like two sides of the coin , cannot ignore any , and no value for other if one doesn't exist. yes i agree , we have to sacrifice one or at least compromise ,to give time to another, like i did, instead of spending my time watching TV ,i will spend on my lot

Personally prashu, there was a time when dad lost his job and the going was very very tough for us. Then came a time when he got a good job, much better paying one, than the previous one. He also realized that he was banking on his relatives and sending his savings across for retirement and my future, but that was never going to materialize. So he stopped sending money across to relatives. Moral of the story, had he not lost the job, he would be pauper when he retired. While the new job was short term, it gave us greater scope to establish ourselves and conserve our monies.

I am in similar boat..though I cant say I long for child birth. :) If I would be confident of my future, with no relatives trying to gain entry to take away my retirement nest egg, then I would adopt a child. But since I cant be sure I dont want to take on any responsibilities and risk the life of a child. Dad also does not like kids. :( So for now, the only way peace remains is not thinking of future or past. Hang in with present I suppose.

prashu: I have not come across a person who has not met failures. If a person succeeds in business and official life he fails in personal life. if he succeeds in personal life he fails in business. It is easy as A.B.C. to envy highly successful people who have reaped laurels in their fields. What is not often realised is that the secret of their success stories lies in their indomitable courage, working hard like blazes, and persistence in the face of overwhelming odds. For years on end hey have been enduring failure and frustration. The common denominator of their dazzling success stories is their point-blank refusal to give up and this quality enabled them in the end to turn failure to success. Their motto was: “Stick to it and you will achieve your aim.” The secret of their success can be put in six little words: Never let down! Never let up. Again if a person wins or succeeds in the end most of us will appreciate. Some people fail many times in business and then people will tell he has not learnt from experience and has been failing quite often. he should have given it up earlier itself. Where to give up -- it differs from person to person. it also depends on his dependence on this one work. I normally try three times and if I fail I stop trying further. Even a dog will come near its master only when he is given attention to. similarly we will also approach people many times only when they give some attention or hope. But youngsters should have an ability to try and try for a few times but try with changed strategy and sincerely.

people speak many things, its up to us what we want in life, we should never decide our life based on others comments. with success we achieve many things. Success is like a sweet,it attracts many flies. similar implies to people. If we need success we should have confidence in ourselves at first place.

Hi, Everyone has to face failure in his life. Failure is simply an opportunity to begin again and this time more intelligently. Mistakes, failures and rejections are the part of the progress and growth. nobody ever achieved anything worth without facing these things.

ah, new beginning with every failure, good point, yes, we start afresh every time we fall and see that we don't commit the same mistake again in life.

failure makes us to shape our life. Every failure teaches good things and if you did not get a lesson from it the things will continue until you realise the fact in that matter. In mylot itself some people are answering to lot questions and some people answer to very few questions. Those persons who answered to lot of questions will have doubts in some area and that will become as question and answered by others.

Hi friend, there is no thrilling in the life which don't have any failures. Our failures are our experience and we learn a lot of things from it. The person who always get success don't have the ability to learn a lot, but the person who is facing failures in his life will learn a lot from his failures and mistakes and rectify his faults to get the success

If you never had failures you might just not appreciate working hard for success. I've been successful and I've had failures. My failures just spurred me on to work harder.

Well, all I think, who know that life is full of joys and sorrows! Every human being is, in the course of its existence encounter insolvencies and failures, but leave a mark, that is, give an important lesson. Continuing, however, it also leads to "success", certainly not without a little effort! Always find everything ready, without any risk, is not the stuff of this world. I know however that often, the challenges that life puts our meeting, are sometimes very painful! I could make for this an infinite number of examples.

Yes, had failures been not there we all can escape from distress, heart attack, strokes, blood pressure , mental tiredness , frustration, bad emotions, insomnia and many other issues. But God is not ready to offer good things alone . He wants to play with us and that's why many genuine people suffer in this world . Thats why many poor people always remain poor and rich people become rich and rich again.
