In fact I don't really suggest little children to play this kind of games. As it is harmful for their eyesight. I always suggest children to have more outdoor activities and have real normal games with friends or their parents.

Sure if its CRT.. ^^ LED screen .. much better than TV.. and thanks for your advice.. ^^ i dont let my child play long time with my computer.. I work at home with my computer so he is always curious to what am i doing., and besides, such games can improve one's ability to analyze, his patience, his self learning and more.. and dont worry because every morning and afternoon we go out and have fun in the sun ^^

my 2-yr old also loves to play PvZ, Angry Birds and the likes. But he is also fond of watching educational videos like Brainy Baby, Galloping Minds, Baby Einstein... It is where he learned how to identify alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes... But of course we also guide him by telling him every thing that we see or passed by. Like if we happen to pass by a bus, I describe it to him that it's a big bus, and the color is yellow. I can say, videos are a big help. I hope your son will like watching it too.

Maybe Super Mario on Nintendo or some other platformer but those games can be pretty hard sometimes so it could be a little nerve wrecking. Or maybe some racing games? I remember starting gaming with Mario and some arcade motorcycle racers at the local mall. But I was about 6 when I started playing games, 2 seems a little bit too early for me but the times have changed. My little cousin started playing early and remember watching him destroying helicopters at the age of 4.

hello mylotter. i believe that your son is first born, right? Since we are in high technology, mostly parents used electronic audio visuals in teaching their children. I am not against to that, but what im worrying is at young age of a child exposing to radiation (television, computers),is not good. Number one,is their eyesight. It already happened to my daughter. She wear eyeglass at the age of 6. But to my second child, i did not use any electronic audio visual aids to him. What i used are children books with colorful graphics, building blocks and posters of alphabets which i post in the wall. Now he is 13 years old and no eyeglass. What im saying is try the conventional way if possible, and not depend on the high tech. As i have said im not against to modern technology.

People generally has different preferences on games. I believe the same applies for young kids too. From my observation, most boys even as young as yours would not really enjoy learning games. Girls seems to have higher chance of liking learning games somehow just like my cousin's daughter. So I can't really recommend a good learning game for your son here.
