How often do you spend time with mylot?

Using mylot has been very interesting for me, sharing experiences, ideas and personal opinions with mylotters and spending my time profitably while being paid at the same time. What I realized in my own personal experience is that there are times when I don't feel like writing in mylot and this could go on up to a week, and then when I come back I felt energized again and share my opinions with passion. I would say in one month's time, I might be spending about 17 hours more or less average in mylot. How about you, how often do you spend time in mylot and how do you motivate yourself to participate once again when those lazy moments come?

hi! when i'm at home, i'm mostly online while doing some work and during breaks, i get to log-in to mylot... and when the mood takes me... i try to respond to a discussion or two and go from there by adding sub-comments if ever a post turns into a discussion. i like the interaction. but i'm nowhere near the 17 hours you put in mylot. just a few minutes each day. perhaps when i was active before, i did an average of 2-3 hours each day about 4-5 times a week in mylot mostly reading discussions, participating in a few and chat with mylot friends using the PM. but when i grew comfortable to chat with mylot friends outside of the site, we did YM and FB so i spent less time with mylot. and when i'm traveling some place or truly busy with work, sometimes it takes me several days to a few weeks before i get back to mylot. but no matter how few the minutes i spend in mylot i still try to get back every now and then... looking at discussions, having a glimpse of what other people are sharing in the site, the ideas and happenings... learning new things, perhaps meeting a friend or two in the process... or sometimes to simply let my mind off the things that i don't want to think about at the moment.

My mistake, it's 17 hours for one month's work. lol. So that should be averaging about less than 2 hours a day. Anyway, you could tell me if I'm correct or not but I think I remember seeing a website with pictures of Filipinos who are mylot members meeting each other in one place and if I remember correctly your name was there...did I remember correctly? Anyway, just like you I am not able to be active everyday but maybe in one week I would be active for about 3 to 4 days. I remember in my fist two months, I am very active and maybe I log in to mylot about 24 times out of 30 so it was easy for me to reach the $10 payout for my first two months. Then after that are two lazy months, so I got the $10 payout for two months time. Yes, mylot can really distract a person from anything troubling him and he would find a lot of interesting discussions that could stimulate imagination and has the power the drive boredom away.

hehe i did understand it as 17 hours for a month. i wouldn't believe you're that addicted to the site if it's 17 hours each day. otherwise you'll be sporting thousands of posts by now. lolz a website huh? must be fb. lolz and yes several of us mylotters met for the first time in december 2010. and some of us continue to meet afterwards til present. and whenever there's an opportunity to meet new friends in mylot. but i'm fairly new in fb so i didn't see the posts and photos before in reference to that meet-up, except for those recently done.

That's nice! It's good to see Filipinos having such good bonding from having similar hobbies :) Yes, I would probably have dark eyes by now due to writing 17 hours daily and due to my lack of sleep I may be needed to be hospitalized very soon now...lol. Anyway, mylot is really such a great place to meet friends and not only with same nationality but also friends from abroad. Who knows, maybe we could meet some of them in person when they come to our country or vice versa.

Everyday i login to mylot account.. Read some discussions that interest me and reply on it. Sometimes I do create my own discussions but its seldom only, depends on my mood. I am glad I found mylot as an earning site. Truly I am having great time here. I am motivated as I see my earnings go up..

I surely am glad as well I found mylot. I even forgot how I came to know about mylot because I joined several years ago but became active just a few months ago. I hope there would be more sites similar to mylot, are there?

It is great to be back! This is the first discussion I am responding to in a very long time. It has been almost a year, if not more, since I last participated here. But there is something about mylot that gets me back, time and again. Life kept me busy (in a good way). So slowly but surely, mylot fell off the radar for me. As for your question- When I was a regular here, I used to spend 3-4 hours on mylot everyday, weekends included! I hope to spend at least an hour everyday out here now. When I get lazy, I can't make myself write. I just can't...But every time I get a feeling that I need something new to inspire or spark creativity in me, I find myself here. Mylot is a great place to learn. Just by reading discussions we get loads of ideas. Wouldn't you agree?

Welcome back cbeee3! I would agree that mylot is such a good place to share one's ideas and knowledge, and a lot of creativity and mind work is spent while participating in discussions. Anyway, 3 to 4 hours in mylot would be ideal for me. I used to spend 2 to 4 hours a day in my first two months, so it was easy for me to reach the monthly payouts. Basically, the more time you spend in mylot the more income you will earn naturally. I hope you do enjoy your return here in mylot and I feel honored that you chose my discussion post as your first comeback participation :D

I get myLot-notifications in my email, & go thru all the new ones everyday. & myLot helps me sort out my confusion---which I'm not lacking at all. And when my life lacks confusion, there is an abundance of 'knowing what's good for everybody' ... which myLot asks for, which leads to more confusion

Lol. I guess if we could get rid of all confusion, then we could all be millionaires :D Mylot is a good place to make you feel rich and blest in many ways though :)

I use to spend 1 to 2 hours a day at Mylot and use to make around 30 to 40 posts a day. I am here for more than a week. But I think my progress is slow and irregular. Due to lack of time I am not being able to post regularly I hope I can regularize it soon.

Wow, 30 to 40 post a day? That is amazing! If you could keep up with that, I won't be surprised if you would be earning $30 monthly.

I spend like 3-4 hours here in mylot. I can understand when i was new i used to sit like 8 hours.... I am keeping busy there days that is why I come less. But when i sit I type fast to do lots in less time. It helps alot. Now what i used to do in 6 hours I do it in three hours because of the increase in typing speed. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Wow, you have doubled in speed in your typing skills...that is amazing! Anyway, I think I did improve my typing speed as well but just a little bit. I was amazed when you said you used to spend 8 hours daily in mylot, I wonder how much you were earning at that time? Would it be just the same because your 4 hours now is done double the time?

It's so great that at present I could type mylot post while having meal at restaurant. Yeah my new phone that works well on typing has become motivation to participate in responding topic that I'm interested Before this I felt reluctant to join in discussion after having lunch. I hope this would last long as it's so comfortable to remain in the air con room to type post conveniently [em]happy[/em Happy posting

It's a latest Sphone that a birthday present I had received in advance. My loved ones hopes that I could manage to use it smoothly in my birthday so they purchased it a couple months earlier. They are quite considerate eh... At present fast food restaurants as well as coffee shops, etc having the free wifi for customers. If not having such advanced device I still can do myLot posting conveniently when eating out. It's no harm trying to surf net on your new in case there is free wifi available in somewhere around Have a nice day

I think you're very lucky having such a family like that, but I'm sure you will be quite considerate with others yourself. Concerning using wifi in fast foods, then it's like paying your wifi service with how much you pay for the food, except of course if that is really where you eat lunch on a regular basis.

I could only imagine you owning a real cool phone...an iphone? Anyway, in my country there are not so many areas with wifi signals so when I'm out of the house I still can't use internet on my celphone. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure if my new celphone has wifi function because it is quite new and I never used wifi before.

I spend more time on weekends and holiday time off than during the school year. I am a full time teacher and have a part time job teaching swim lessons. That does not leave a ton of time for other things. I set a goal yearly for each of my earning sites. Reaching that goal keeps me motivated through the summer to get on and do a little each day. I am $5 away from my goal on here, so I see myself earning it.

I see a bit of similarity with us because you teach sports and I teach sports as well, but the sports I teach is a mind sports...chess. I teach chess online for a fee, and I used to have lots of students but now I'm more focused with my English lessons online to my Korean friends because I find it easier to teach English than chess. Anyway, can you share with us some of your mylot goals and how you are accomplishing it? You reminded me of the importance of setting goals in everything you do, so I think I would set several goals now in all my online endeavors :)

wow. Mylot really needs some patience. Especially when your communicating sensibly with posts and motivating yourself to earn at the same time. It is tough. I just don't think about it and just keep commenting. I spend 4 hours on mylot everyday. Pure mylot. It's been 2 weeks now.

Good luck to you, jijixcebu! With the way you're going, I would say you can earn some good extra income here in mylot. If you are able to consistently earn $10 monthly in mylot, there are many ways to make use of that money for greater income. But of course, it is your choice what you wanted to do with your earnings here but for someone like me who is full time online marketer and work at home guy, I tried to make full use of my profits in mylot by reinvesting it to other sites that could only give me more sources of income.

Just a little bit about less than an hour but know i am thinking to spend more time because it is the good way to find new friends as well as to make some extra cash and to solve some problems which is really a good thing of my lot

Same with you, I also use mylot when I wanted some questions answered, and several mylotters are there ready to share their knowledge and experience with you. It's really a great community of people sharing experiences and knowledge and the whole process seems to drive boredom away effectively.

I spend about 3 hours in mylot every day that is why I only have $2.33 as my earnings when I have already been here for 2 weeks now! When I feel lazy, I just stop and log-out and come back when I feel like it.

Hi watchamacallitz, I don't understand why you only have $2.33 working for 3 hours for 2 weeks. I think your work should give you more about $4-$6 with that effort. Anyway, this month I really feel super lazy in mylot so I needed to bring back some motivation in me.

mylot screen is opened the whole hours while I am here in the office. But it is just minimized. And if I got some extra time, then I try to peep and check what's new... or check if I have received some comments so I can reply. But since it is not full-time, I cannot reply to all. If we try to add up the minutes, maybe it will be summed up to 1 to 2 hrs a day... Oh my, I just realized the company's loss for paying me on those hours.
• Philippines
10 Oct 12
Don't worry aejey as that would be kept a secret. I would bet nobody would investigate which office you work at and tell your boss of those stolen hours...lol. I would say many mylotters also average about 1 to 2 hours per day, and I would guess most of them would have some days that they won't be logging in to mylot. If one is determined, he or she could easily log in everyday to mylot and participate as much as his or her drive allows.

My longest hours spending here in mylot is approximately 3 hours, specially when my mind is fresh where in I can think a lot of answers to different discussions. when time came that my mind is tired or my mood doesn't fit for that day well I just stare the pages or read a few and sign out afterwards. well I just keep myself enjoying my time here and hope to earn the minimum pay out. B)

Yes, enjoying yourself is the key to being active in mylot. There would be times that I find myself enjoying the discussions and didn't realize I was participating for about 4 hours already, but this seldom happens. On the average, I would say it is 1 to 2 hours a day. I would say that you will get better pay as your ratings ( the number in the right of your username ) gets higher and higher. That's what I was told by some of the veteran mylotters here, and of course the more you participate the more you earn. Good luck to you, and I feel you're on the right path in making it easier to get the minimum payout. It's very possible in the beginning to immediately reach the $10 payout every month which I did with my first two months here. I find myself not reaching the $10 when I had some lazy months, but I would say if one is very active and consistent with mylot, as time goes by it would be easy for that person to earn $10 up to $30 a month without referrals.

my lot is so good but now i am not very interested in it. i think it can be more interesting. i am a chinese and i come to my lot in order to practice my English and earn some money at the same time. i know a lot of websites and i enjoy some much but i don;t think my lot is a so good website that can make me be so interested in. maybe the reason i don't like it so much is i am a foreigner and have some difficult to read some articles in there. but i still think my lot is good and maybe i will spend more time with my lot.

Good luck to you paulli, maybe if you spend more time here you might be able to enjoy it more and probably earn more in the process. Anyway, mylot is a community with many different nationalities because it's worldwide so everyone is welcome here :) I know several of my native country who is not good in English come here as well to improve their English as well.
