Again, O'Mally went after someone (yet again my Mother thinks its everyone pickying on him - it's the other way around). The one dog Indie got in the middle of it, to break it up. It scared O'Mally and he went runnig, when he went running Grey chasing him. Meanwhile, my Mother is yelling at everyone else, while all the cats go runing because they are scared of this cat. My Mom's cat corners him and just sit's down (like there). I think my Mother is making it worse, and scolding the wrong animals. She just locked the dogs in one room, and her cats in another, my cats are in my room. She is letting this cat roam the house, and so he think he has won (until he tries picking a fight and they gang up on him again). I told her if this cat hurts my cats, she is paying the vet bill. I told her a few days after she brought it in that it's vicious, and trying to attack the other cats. She is showing this new cat more attention too, so of course her cat isn't going to like it either. She's just wearing a blindfold, I have never seen any of the cats act like this until this cat came in.

Well, I do think that it is a natural instinct of people to care more for the newest pet in a family at first so that pet will be able to relax and realize that they are loved. However, I don't think punishing and separating the animals because they got into a brawl is the best way to deal with this. The animals will never be able to develop a relationship with each other if they are not allowed to ever be around each other. We do keep our newest kitten separated from the other animals when we aren't at home, but the rest of the time, she is allowed out to play with our other cats and dogs.

What was your mother even thinking and why hasn't anyone done anything to stop this? Obviously everyone else must be aware of how the new and mean cat is treating the other ones. She needs to take the cat to a humane society or just let it back outside. It's obviously not house ready if it ever will be, and she punishing all the other animals is just ridiculous.

That doesn't seem like a very good situation :( I hope all of your animals are ok and that none of them get hurt.

I don't like it when the pets fight between themselves. I am scared that they might hurt each other. Hope they are fine. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.
