A Useless Dayoff

I was so excited because it's day off again... However, i was so disappointed today. All my friends are at work. It was so hot outside during the day and I had nowhere to go. I was so pissed because all I had to do today was sit and eat and sleep and watch tv.. Soooooo boring.. Really boring.. I feel like my day isnt worthwhile. I want my day off spent like its my last day on earth. I want to go to other places and enjoy new and wonderful scenery. Eat in a fine dine restaurant. And spend time with my friends. I want it to be very meaningful and worthwhile.. Whew.. And now, Im here in our couch, writing this discussion in mylot. At least, I have something to do. How about you? How do you spend your day off??

That is very unfortunate. You do not need to rely on people to make your day exciting. GO OUT, hit a bar or a pub or something, strike up a convo with a person there or just go to a cinema by yourself and watch a movie or something. Personally, I spend my day offs in pubs or tourists attractions.

as a student, my day off is Saturday and Sunday, i know it's boring, but still i spend my day off in reading the Bible, and spend time with other people. it's not that hard to make my day off valuable, although it's not but i can do it with the help of God.

While I can see that a day spent with friends and doing things is more exciting and more noticeable than a day at home, I think I would like a day at home doing nothing. Just a day to relax and putter around the house, maybe read a good book or watch a movie.

It is horrible when you feel as though you've wasted your day off, but you should remember that at least you had the time to be able to relax which is something that you're not always able to do on the days that you're in work. One of the things that I like to make sure that I do on my day off is to get all of the house work done as this means that I don't have to worry about doing it when I have been working a long day and when I get home. I know that it is much better doing it this way as it is much less stressful in the long term.

Hi,
Me also,when my rest day comes, I feel like I'm alone so I always find time to be with my friends.I felt as if it is a boring day for me also.I do sleeping but when I wake up and I don't see people around I get disturb and then become lonely. I'm living alone for 3 years and still I can't manage myself to be alone for just a day.
