If you read the FAQs carefully you will fiond the answers to all of theose questions.
MyLot tell us:
"[i]What can I do to increase my earnings?
What an excellent question, and one we hope every myLot user will ask.
Use myLot, post discussions, respond to discussions, comment on discussions, or perform searches.
Post quality content. For example, generate discussions that engage other users and provide insightful responses and comments to other users discussions to further the topic
Refer friends. For each person you send to myLot you will receive a bonus equal to 25% of their discussion and image earnings.[/i]"

Their 'method' is easy to understand. We earn for our quality participationin the discussions, commenting and furthering the topic.
Receiving and/or awarding the Best Response does NOT affect earnings at all. It is just a nice gesture made by those who start a discussion to highlight which respoonse they enjoyed the best.
We can all rate everything but only after we reach a user raitng (the number in brackets) of 100.

Yes, I already read this. It doesnt really explain their method to increase the earnings. It just mention that they have a "method" to calculate the quality of responds. The "mark as best responds", does it increase the earnings? only the owner of the discussion can put that, the same with + or - sign. We cant really do anything,it all depends on the discussion owner. Am I right? I am curious to know their method on calculating the earning.

All I can tell you is to get involved with discussions. Chat back and forth on those discussion. If you start a discussion, be sure to be a good host and give a response to your commenters. That gives them a chance to come back and respond and earn, while you also make money when you answer them back.
You don't get paid per post here. You just have to be active and post, post post. Be attentive, and give good responses that make sense. The more you type the more you will make, because it is your PARTICIPATION that increases your earnings.
I hope our Aunt D will come and talk more about how to be a good mylotter. Avoid polls. Any question that requires only a yes or no is not allowed. Simple questions like do you like coffee, is not allowed because it is a poll. After awhile you will learn what poll discussions are and learn to avoid them like the plague. Why? They won't last long and you will lose money when the discussion is removed.
All in all, if you spend lots of time here you can make a decent amount of money. Some folks make a dollar a day or more by being active here. You have to put in the time and the effort to make decent earning. If you do you will be surprised as you watch your money grow. I know one lady, our oldest Mylotter by the number beside her name can pay her Internet bill with her earnings each month. That's how active she is. You can do it too if you want to.

wfhchristiner I hope you read carefully what this response told you.
there is NO fixed rate for anything here. we do NOT earn 'per post' and certainly not 1 cent.
We earn for our overall participation - topics+responses+comments + if they are quality and further the topic.
MyLot is not a question and answer site but is for discussions and when we start a topic we should then add relative comments tothe responses and turn it into a quality topic.
The same with responses that you post on discussions started by others. If youthen receive a comment you should go and leave another one so that the conversation keeps moving forward. That is discussing and that is what we earn for here.

Hi christine! Please take time to read the guidelines and FAQ below the page in order for you to have a smooth flow of activities with myLot.
Personally, I can make a responses to several discussions by opening several tabs, thereby I could answer the discussions on the other topics while the other tabs are loading. I can also transfer from one tab to another if for the time being, I don't have an idea on the present tab. It would minimize the time we consume compared to opening a tab and opening discussion and opening another discussion.

Fantastic advice! I will most definitely be doing the multi tab thing in future, I feel kinda silly that I didn't think of it sooner (doh!).
I've just returned to my lot after having an absence of nearly two years. Over the last 3 - 4 days I have made more than what l did back then. I'm getting on track to making 30 cents per day and am hoping to achieve 50 cents per day very soon.

Sounds like you're starting of right: starting discussions and commenting. Responding to posters at your discussions is also a good idea, it shows you're actually interested in not only the subject, but also the person. Make friends, and interact :) All the best, and Happy myLotting!
