I have many happy memories from the traveling that I have done in the past. My favorite trip was to Central America in 2006. I climbed Mayan ruins, went on an exciting cave adventure and spent time snorkeling with nurse sharks plus sting rays. The best destination that I have been to country wise is Samoa. I remember my stopover there in 2002 with great delight. There I stayed in a beach hut like building open to the elements unless I put the shutters down. I swam at the beach, went snorkeling and walked over to the other side of the island. My favorite city is Sydney in Australia. I have such happy memories of walking in its picturesque botanical garden seeing the friendly cockatoo parrots. I loved seeing the opera house with its unusual design of white sails and the harbor bridge that looks like a coat hanger. Which happy memories do you have from the past? Did you find favorite destinations that you especially enjoyed?

My happiest memory is probably the first time I went abroad, I had never been on a plane before so it was a big adventure I went with my mum and dad, we went to Cyprus, well the plane journey itself well it was exciting, I liked taking off the best. It was really strange visiting a foreign country for the first time, there was so much to see and do, and the temperature took a lot of getting used to. We hired a jeep and went up in the mountains. Swimming in the sea with fish was fun to. We travelled around a lot visiting Nicosia the capital, Paphos, Ayia Napa, we stayed at Limassos. The only place I didn't like was Larnica. But it was a holiday to remember!

Hi Wolfie. I am glad that your first trip abroad was a happy experience. I am pleased that you found going on the plane an enjoyable experience. Yes, the hot climate took a bit of getting used to. The jeep journey must have been lovely up to those picturesque mountains. I hope that you will have some more trips just as much fun as that lovely trip.

Your memories sound so adventurous and I believe that you are that type of person, and I really envy you. I want to at least experience some of your travels as well but I know it cannot happen anytime soon for me yet. I haven't gone anywhere outside my country yet. Most of my travel memories are happy because they were vacations with siblings and/or friends mainly to bigger cities or home provinces in our country.

Thanks for your excellent comments and I like being an adventurous independently minded traveler. I wish that your situation will improve and that soon you will be able to travel to some other countries. Maybe next year you might be able to visit your next door country possibly. Good luck.

There are lots of things that I have done in the past that I am happy about travel wise, but I think that one of the main things that I am proud of is the fact that I went to New York a couple of years ago. I always knew that I wanted to go to America at some point during my life, but I never imagined that it would be something that i would achieve when I was so young because I was only 15 at the time that I went. I would very much love to go there again at some point in the future, but I know that I have a lot of time to do things like that.

I know exactly what you mean that you wanted to visit America at some time in your life. It was fantastic that you were indeed able to visit New York when you were 15 years old. I very much hope you will return to that interesting country plenty more times.

I have lots of happy memories of travelling, the favourite holiday I have ever had is the coach tour we did from New York to Los Angeles.I have lots of happy memories of that holiday.I would say the most amazing thing I probably did was the helicopter tour of the grand canyon thats something I had wanted to do for a long time.Though most of the memories I have of that trip are happy ones,I saw a lot of interesting things and met a lot of nice people.
