Adbrite - Minimum Payment Issue

Hello Friends,
Around one year back I placed adBrite ads on one of my blogs. The minimum payout limit was set to $100 by default. I don't remember seeing the option of keeping it lower than that. Day before yesterday when I opened my account I noticed a drop in page views and earnings. While browsing the site I read in the publisher section that the minimum payout limit can be set to equal to or greater than $5. It also advised to keep it $100 so as to cover any bank charges during clearance.
I would like to know do adbrite send check in dollars or rupees? Also, are there any charges laid for check clearance? If yes, how much fee is deducted?
Kindly assist me as I want to reduce the payout limit and get the money I have earned so far.

i don't know for indian publisher but i rememberber that you can set 25$ as minimum payout even if they suggest to set on 100$ i think if you join into your publisher account and come in the money section you can see option using the drop down button available where you can set minimum payout!!
