My mom asked me to buy a pain reliever not away from home. I brought my little sister with me. She's very talkative and very observant kid in her age. While waiting for our medicine someone caught her attention. An old man carrying a big box that almost bearable for him to carry. The man was standing right in front of us waiting for the instruction from the store owner. My sister asked the man,"Why are you carrying that heavy box grandpa? You're too old for that." She exclaimed. I tried to stop my sister but she still trying to insist. " They don't have money?" A weary question she asked facing me. I hurriedly got away from the store after i took the medicine. But because of what happened one thing came to my self. Knowing that life sometime is not fair. That in this world many suffered and not given a chance to have a pleasurable life until their older age.

I need to took her away from the store. She is not that type of kid that if you answer she stops. Always expect a follow up question coming. To avoid more uncomfortable interrogation better to bring her somewhere else first. I don't want to embarrass the old man by letting my sister ask more question, can i?

I told her that their are indeed less fortunate people who are not given a chance to finish their studies. Or probably he sent his kids to school but no one finish and got a better job. So he end up doing the same things for a living until this time. Nobody will going to help him out of poverty because his kids are also struggling to raise their own family.

I think if your sister was oler she probably would of held the box for the older gentleman. Of course being so young and he looks like a grandpa thats the first thing that came out of her mouth instead of saying why are you carrying that heavy box and stopping there. At least she notices things around her and observes that people need help with things. She isnt shy thats for sure and that can be a problem in life or it can help her get somewhere in life as well. Goodluck with her.

I just wish it will lead her to a better future. Sometimes we need to be vocal to be heard but sometimes too much talk can make trouble too.

Yes Hatley, that is the reality of life. It hurts to think but that is the truth. All we have to do is learn how to compete in the world. Fight if you must or else you will end up a loser.

Your sister must be a naughty and clever person. But it's normal for a kid. Because kids always ask questions which makes their mind wonder. On the other hand, I agree that life is really unfair! :)

She's kinda naughty toxic_lifestyle. I guess today's kids are very smart. And they are enjoying their freedom of speech.

Kids really say the outrageous, yet clever, things nowadays. Their innocence and fresh outlook is very much welcome. I accept the fact that OI, a grown woman, can learn so much from a child's point of view.

Kids are not afraid to say what they wanted to say. At least it's an early reality awareness on their part. Sometimes we need to understand things at younger age so that we are well aware of what life can bring. We can see indeed truth realization from kids observation of our surroundings. Their innocence is an exemption if they say an awful truth that might hit our ego.
