Windows 7 Desktop - A part of my Windows 7 Desktop
I have a personal Lenovo Laptop and it is also the brand that I use in the office. I find it at par with most of the laptops that are available today. Of course I did compare it with other brands with almost the same specification. The speed of laptops are not solely determined by the amount of RAM that is installed. The more applications that you install the slower it gets. Especially if the applications installed something that is loaded to your RAM during boot-up. Also, if you have anti-virus or spyware installed, it slows everything especially if the protection setting is to maximum. It scans every file that is run on you system. Try do do regular maintenance on your laptop. Check for viruses/spyware, defragment the hard drive and make sure all the RAM you installed is being used by the system. I once installed 4 GB Ram on my Lenovo running Windows Vista. The laptop recognizes 4GB while vista recognizes only 3. It was only when I installed service pack 3 that Vista recognoizes all. If you are running Vista, it is slower than Windows 7. I hope this helps somewhat
