Going crazy playing checkers with foods and different objects!

Sample chess pieces turned extra large. - Turned these just for the fun of it. They are really quite large. Almost three and a half inches in diameter.

This discussion actually started at work in a fun way. One of the guys bought a new orange checkered shirt and in good fun we teased him all day about it. We were all bothered by management in that they were preparing for a work place audit so we are not allowed to have anything at our workstations. One of the older gentlemen was upset that he wasn't allowed to have his candy bowl. Sucking on a candy helps relieve a scratching throat when we have heavy call volumes. In exasperation he said he was going to bring two kinds of candies to his desk so we could play checkers. I laughed and said we could use Rob's shirt for the playing board. Everyone at works knows I turn things (I sell the candy bowls) I did turn some chess pieces for fun shown below. Because they were so big we started joking about all the things you could play checkers with on the size of board needed for my mega chess pieces. We came up with a lot of ideas. You could play vanilla muffins vs. chocolate muffins. You could play glasses of cola vs. glasses of 7up. We had a lot of fun with it and I want to see what my friends on myLot can come up with. Go wild, anything goes.

Very funny! Another thing you could play checkers with is milk. Chocolate vs. regular milk, hamburgers vs. hotdogs, and even oreo cookies vs vanilla wafers. =)

That's the spirit. Would you require eating or drinking the pieces you capture? I'd get a bellyache eating twelve hamburgers or hotdogs. That would also be a lot of milk to drink.

I don't know Eukenoru. Sounds healthier than a lot of other things.

Sounds like a lot of fun! It's nice to have humour at work. It eases the stress and makes everyone laugh. I miss working and i hope that i'll be able to experience that soon in this foreign land.

A lot of us have been there for quite some time and know each other quite well. We tease and joke a lot. It does break up the tension of the work. Hope you find good work where you are.

Thanks for posting this discussion. Glad to know that u all had so much of fun while at work and i had never ever realized that u could turn your friend's t shirt into a chequered board, i mean that is very much an innovative stuff and i am pretty sure that u all must have had a great fun playing. Work isn't always much fun. It makes it easier when you sit with a group of friends and can have fun with each other when it isn't too busy. I actually hate call centre work. The bright side though is that I always have good friends working with me. If they aren't friends when we start they usually are within a couple weeks.
