Many are unhappy and disatisfied with the way things are going in the US. If you had a chance to write a letter to the President what are some suggestions you would make?

Stop the OBAMA CARE package. I feel that this is going to hurt those of us with severe medical issues, and make it harder to get the help we need. Stop handing out money and Food Stamps to people just because they are not working. If they are looking for work and receiving Food stamps, or have kids that is one thing, but what about the Struggling working americans as well? And why give to them and continue to take from the ones on Disability needing the help? Do more for housing and the homeless before there becomes more of a housing crisis than many are continuing to see and experience. Go back to Biblical teachings. Quit your focus on Gay Marriage. It is not biblical so that continues to show he is not Christian based for sure. These are just a few of my thoughts.

Hi Krause, I am also against gay marriage and Obamacare. Yes, we do need to return to Biblical teachings.

I would like to tell him that we need to quit caring more about illegals than we do the legal U.S. citizens. They cost this country billions a year and they think they're entitled to it. We also need to cut back some of the privileges we give to Congress. They are in office to serve the people not themselves. After they're 2 terms (that's what it should be limited to)they go back to being normal citizens. Also, minimum wage needs to go to $12 an hour. No one can live on today's minimum wage. Not even 20 years ago. Oh yeah, and keep your promises. You said if you didn't cut the budget in half after 3 years you wouldn't seek re-election.

Oneidmnster, Yes, I agree that something must be done about illegal immigration. The minimum wage must be raised as well.

Oh there's a list. First They need to do away with the electoral college. Frankly with the way things are set most of the colleges votes are already decided before the public voting even begins. The "swing" states are the only votes left open for grabs so if your not from one of them your vote doesn't even count. There have actually been 4 presidents seated AGAINST THE POPULAR VOTE. The two party system needs to be done away with completely. Then there's the currency system. The American dollar is no longer backed by anything except the governments word. As the government loses credibility & their own credit rating it's value drops. It used to be backed by gold kept in Fort Knox but that in itself isn't all that effective. What would a poor man need with gold? It's a luxury item & unless you know someone who can afford the luxury & has what you need then it's useless to you. Personally I think the dollar should be changed to the Gallon. Everybody & every industry needs fuel. If a bill is has a set value for a specific amount & grade of fuel it's value would be stabilized. That would also keep the oil companies from further screwing around with the price & crumbling the economy with their greed. If they want more profit they'd have to get more fuel out of the ground & to us more efficiently which isn't a bad thing. Next we need the full tariff system back in place. When companies are taxed enough when bringing in products made in sweat shops overseas they'd have to raise their prices to the point that American companies could compete. That would either provide more tax money to help take care of Americans who've lost their jobs or cause more jobs to be created in the U.S. for them. Nafta created huge loopholes for companies to send production jobs overseas. On that note whenever you call a service & get a call center from overseas we should just hang up & cancel the service. We also need a lot of investment in the infrastructure of the country. A lot of our country is at risk or neglected. Instead of just paying people unemployment give them community tasks to earn it. There's lots that could be done but it'll never happen because of politicians pandering to lobbyists & trying to line their own pockets. When they're making a fortune from big oil kickbacks & owning stock in them they're certainly not going to take my currency suggestion that would effectively control them. They're also not going to tell people they have to work for unemployment as the many lazy people who abuse the system wouldn't like getting off their sofas to earn it. It was once said that no democracy could last. Once the people figured out how to abuse the system the politicians would continually promise them more & more in order to stay in office. Eventually the governments coffers would be depleted & it would collapse under it's own corruption leaving a dictator to step in. The dictator would then clean things up & restart the company until he & his predecessors become obsessed with their own power & get overthrown by the people It's a continual cycle. America is on the tail end of that loop.

That list is very interesting. I wish politicians were not so heavily influenced by lobbyists.

I would suggest they do away with parties and start acting like grown ups and work together for the good of the country..and not the good of the politicians...and how about evening things out a bit? Don't worry so much about offending someone...just do it.

Fatcat44, President Nixon resigned because he knew he would be impeached. Can you imagine Obama and Biden both stepping down?

You can write letters all you want but that would make thousands and thousands of letter writing to the president which tells more of disappointed in his administration.

Dear Letran, I think many people would write letters of disappointment in his administration. What is interesting is that the people who are disappointed feel that way for many reasons.

I would suggest that he increase social security because many people cannot live on social security alone. I would also suggest that he gives more funding for graduate students to help us attend college (they help those who want to obtain a bachelor's degree, but the ones who want to go on for a Masters or a PhD have to get loans out to afford school). He also needs to stop cutting the education budget in the K-12 programs because our children are suffering in school. He also needs to make preschool education more affordable.

I'm not from the U.S.A , but, as a citizen from Israel, I would write your president a thanks letter for supporting Israel in the political issues against the countries that support terror, violence and attacks on innocent people. I would write him to keep working hard and try to solve the economical crisis in the world and reconsider who really needs the basic food. Who has too much food and doesn't need it...
