Take Away Pizza Keeps Making Me Sick :(

Hi MyLotters! We used to have a pizza night once a week as a way of giving me a break from cooking for the evening. The pizza place down the road was really really good. But then it all changed and the pizzas have become very substandard. 9 times out of 10, they make me really sick the next day :( I don't know why as I am still getting the same type of pizza. Must be something to do with their food preparation perhaps? Anyone else had a similar experience?

Some places sure dont know how to make a good pizza. And the prices are way to high. I like to make my own here. That way i get it just right. Have a great sunday there.

I know, it's annoying hey. Shall be making my own pizzas from now on. If hubby wants to buy that rubbish, he can ;) Home made pizzas are just SO much better!

Well, some pizza places get taken over and some change cooks. That makes a difference. I hate all those fast food chains like Domino's, Papa John's and Pizza Hut. They all stink. They do not know how to make real pizza. I am so happy that I live here in Brooklyn NY because we have the best pizza places all over the borough. It might be time for you to change places. And if you have a brick overn place near you I would suggest you go there.

I haven't yet encountered a takeout Pizza that came back for revenge...But if a place was suddenly selling and serving substandard ones,I'd be voting with my feet...If the place was a regular haunt,I'd be considering letting them know about it..give them a chance to make things right..but if you are getting sick (Look up food poisoning for the gory details which I'm not about to go into here!)and that WOULD be the cause, then that's a serious public health matter..ask around your friends and neighbours if any of them have experienced this..most of the time this is due to sloppy preparation methods, with cold items allowed to warm up,and hot food items allowed to cool into what's termed the risk zone (around body temperature)and even poor hygiene..

I had some pizza years back at a pizza shop. The pizza I had from the shop was tasty, but salty. I had some sore throat problems when I had it. Later I gave up. Take care.

If it was food poisoning, more people than you would be getting sick, including your partner. Also, I would not have to eat something 10 times to find out if it made me sick 9 times. After the second time, I would give up on the place. Years ago I had a similar experience with airline food on a specific airline. After 2 times getting sick, I stopped eating their food and only drank their liquor (lol).

You can always but the dough at the super and put whatever you want over it. It will be healthier as you know what you want. Sometimes the spices or the sausage is not what they should be.
