This is what I think of online and offline job. What are your thoughts? Anything to add on? ONLINE OFFLINE -work at your own phase -in workplace eg. office -time is flexible -9 to 6 -salary is not stable -fixed basic salary + commissions -no target or deadline -has target and deadline -no one can fire you -if you commit offences, you are fired! -don't have to answer to anyone -have to answer to this and that -no commuting hassle -travel sickness -don't have worry company closed down -company closed or recession

I love the opportunity to get to work at home, and there are circumstances where you really have no choices. I was working as a barber full time and just loved the money and being around people. However, I became ill with rheumatoid arthritis and of course that really put a damper on me standing or even sitting for too long. Having to be at work at a certain time and worrying if I was going to be able to take my appointments was very stressful. So I decided to begin an online jewelry store and fell in love. Not only has it helped me with my arthritis by keeping my hands moving..it has helped me mentally and has helped with our bills. I would recommend it to anyone. I do miss being around people like I was, but this is where I would rather be. I am extremely happy, even when I can't bear the pain.

Glad that you found your niche in doing jewelry business, keep it up! As long as it makes money and legal one I think you can continue doing it forever. As for me, I love making money online but still it is so little just 20 bucks a month which is just a little bit extra money, I would like to make at least hundred bucks before I give up my offline job.

Who do you call boss? Is he just a person or is it a constitutional post to which a certain dutty is bestowed? I think no one in the world is bossless. We cant have neglected our duty just if we want. Life is here our boss. We are to follow our boss ultimately where ever we work. I would say online is just extra money but not any money enough for both end met. I admit there are some professional experts who are able to earn lots of money. And may be we are not within them.

Yes, I want to say God is also our boss. He gives us life to live in this world, we have to be good and answer His prayer.

I agree with you , if you start making money online its like having your own business . All those benefits you mention is true I cant bother having to go to work sometime especially when it is raining and I just want to curl up and stay in .

Like you, I will always curl in bed, its nice to sleep at rainy days, but as long as you still have savings so that you won't end up without when you are not going to work.

Let's look at one difference you're not looking at: Online, your pay is set by 'how many people visit your work'; Offline, it's set by 'your contract with your employer'

Hi wong! This is a good way of assessing the pros and con of an online vis a vis offline job. Another thing to add is that with online job, you will not be able to receive pension when you retire. You also don't have a leave privilege when you get sick. Bur personally I love working online because I can learn a lot of things from it. There are so many new knowledge that I've learned when I started working online.

Yes, online job doesn't offer you sick leave, pension, insurance, but it doesn't have age limit either. One can do as long as they have computer and internet connection. I would like to learn how to get traffic to my blog if I am going to create one, so that it makes money as passive income.

Hi friend, you listed some of the difference between online and offline jobs. One more thing is age factor, there is no age limitation for online jobs and offline job is having certain age limitation. We need some extra qualification for offline jobs, but online jobs don't requires a great qualification. computer and internet knowledge with basic English knowledge is enough for it

Another thing is working at home is an extra, I love working at home without interruption. Age and qualification like you said doesn't require as long as you can still type and using the computer, and a bit of english basic knowledge.

I think those are good if you work for yourself online, but you can also work from home and online for other companies-in that case you would have a boss, and can be fired. Also, any online job, whether you work for yourself or a company, can close down or be out of popularity. There are no guarantees with any job. However, people working online don't tend to do just ONE thing and have a lot of resourcefulness and other skills that make them easier to rebound if there product or job stops being profitable. One other thing is people don't take your job as seriously. If you want to work, they like to say oh just do it another time? Or they may talk to you while you are working. That can be frustrating when you are trying to get something done. I love working from home though, the benefits far outweigh any negatives for me.

Hey michiganrawfood, You have given some good points, like when I am doing my job they don't appreciate it at all, like talking to you when you are middle of some work, you also have to answer to this and that, its frustrating working under someone, and I think online jobs like writers are also being tested, sometimes online company won't pay you after your hardwork. Better be equipped with many sites, if one went wrong, you still have the other.

You are true about this. I do work at a construction company but i dont feel its going to be closings it doors at any time what so ever. We do alot of different things here we do moving for interior decorators and there is a high command here for that where i live in sunny south florida and there are alot of high end homes here. Now we do painting and alot of people will pay alot to do that as well some older communities that are retirment communities call us for people to hang up curtains and to clean there windows and things like that so we are pretty busy and we live in such a place where it is a demand in my job. Now i work 42 hours a week most of the time unless something else other wise happens like last week. I also am at work right now and on mylot so that is ap lus for me.

That is why I don't want to engage in office work anymore like clerical or admin, I just want to do simpler things like mylotting.

choy you are right^^ but at the same time i think that it isnt that easy^^ to work online gives work too because if you dont know many people online you wont get visits. you need a lot of visitors in your blogs everyday so you can earn a good income everyday. but i think its possible ^^ if you want start a blog of your interest and see how things go. maybe someday when you earn a good income like 500 dollars you can focus on an online job and leave your offline one^^
