Holiday on Friday....have to finished work till Thursday...

Whenever we have long weekends like this, me and my friends usually go mountain climbing. That was about 2 years ago when aloof us were still single and free from "responsibilities". But now when most of us have gotten married or pregnant or had kids, it's kinda hard to organize our usual activities.

Good for you Ardoy, because you don't have a regular working time on Saturdays. Us, we do have Saturday work. So, we suggested that the holiday of 26th be instead be moved to Saturday so we can have at least a continuous weekend. I envy you because you have 3 days of rest, because of the holiday on Friday.

That's normal for us being an employee to be excited when we know that there will be an incoming holidays. Better to those working in a government entity, they will be relax for 3 days but those who are working in private, sorry work still going on even on weekends. I work in Middle East, the weekends fall on Thusrday and Friday. When there will be a holiday still we are working, it's quite different here, all overtime are compensated.

You're such a hardworking employee, you should be promoted . My day off falls on Friday so it will still be a normal Friday for me. I am thankful my work is not so stressful and doesn't really need overtime. But, it also is not productive and will make you feel stagnant. Life, it's so hard to find work these days so I have to stay -.-

wow.. that's good to know that you don't have work on saturdays. it's so happy to have long vacation but i have work on saturday and it's too bad, right? we will go shopping for holiday gifts on friday and go back to work on saturday.

My work seemed fine this week. Busy week as usual. Though we dont have any days off even it will be declared a non working day. But that is good for you guys, for you have time for rest and time for your family. I'm hoping to have a day off aside from the weekends that I usually have. For me to spend time with my wife. and holiday too for our country since Friday.. We have Idul Adha in next friday.. every workers are passion for the holiday again

Well, I'm not a working woman so that isn't something that I ever have to worry about. However, my husband works in a machine shop and work has been very slow for him for over a year. However, as he stated yesterday, things are finally starting to pick up for them. This means that he has been working later in the evening than I have gotten used to him working. It kind of stinks because I do really appreciate the time that we are able to spend together. However, it is a good thing because that will ultimately mean more money in our pockets.

My day is just fine and as usual I am multitasking. Anyway, I will go to work on Friday even if it's a holiday because next week a very long weekend will come. Besides we still need to go to work on Saturdays and we are reporting on Fridays.

Hi, What type of work you doing? With the PC at home and the office, its hard to get away from it. If I go to the office, its that project proposal that I have to finalize for printing. If I go home, there's that 100-page magazine I have to layout for publishing this December. Then there's that extra requests for PC repairs, equipment set ups for seminars and all the others in between. Good thing I didn't buy that laptop, the more I can't get away from it, being mobile and can be carried anywhere, even on the beach or to the mountain trails, the things to do always peeks at me every chance it can get. Happy weekends ahead even if it is still a few days away. Lets take a break, guys.

Hi ardoy! With my second day on my new place of assignment, I am spending most of my time traveling. I cannot yet find a place to stay on the place because I still have to take an examination related to my job at the end of the month. In relation to this, I have to undergo some days for the review. I can take care of this thing when I return on November. I am also happy that we will have a long vacation. We can at least visit our love ones.
