Teacher...My Spiritual Gift?

The Bible teaches that as believers we are each given at least one gift with which we are to build each other up. For many years I was not sure what my gift might be. I am good at a lot of different things but wasn't always sure what those would be called as gifts. Recently it has come to my attention that I have spent a lot of my life teaching others about different things. Especially in the past few years. It dawned on me that maybe this is where my gift lies. Right out of high school I went to college to become a teacher of special education. However, I dropped out because it wasn't actually the field I wanted to go into. Over the years I have had several different majors in college, finally getting a degree in Social Work and working as an Activity Director in long term care, among other jobs I've had. But always it seems that teaching others would end up part of what I would be doing whether it was in my job description or not. I remember one job where I was an Activity Director but was teaching the secretaries at work how to use copy and paste on the computer. I've taught a lot of people how to do various things on the computer, most of which I taught myself in the first place. In the past couple of years I have spent a lot of my time teaching people how to stay safe online, especially from scammers and from people trying to hack personal information. I've spent a lot of time teaching my grandchildren as though I were a preschool teacher. And it really came to me that I am and always have been in one way or another, a teacher. Maybe I don't have a degree in teaching, but there are all types of ways people can teach other people. Are you a teacher? Do you have a teaching degree? If so, what do you teach? If not, but are still a teacher, what is it that makes you know you are a teacher?

interesting. it seems we are all teachers and students in our own ways ... Some of the greatest teachers in history always felt they were really only students ... while they were the best in what they taught ... What do you think ?
