I had to unload 2 trucks today at work, my back is spasms for the last hour. I had a nice warm bath and now relaxing. I;m just exhausted and I'm sure it didn't help that we had to do it in the rain. I just wanted to scream at my boss this is what you pay me so much an hour to do, while you go home and have a nap.

There are times when I have a sore back if I work or sit too long at my desk or computer. The feeling is awful. Then I have to lie down to get relaxed. If I start to have a sore back, it usually takes a couple of days for my back to be normal again. So I think that I need to change myself not to always sit so long next to my desk for the sake of my health. Take care, Ricki.

I know what you mean and I have to admit that it drives me nuts when the bosses at different companies are not willing to get their hands dirty with work as well. However, then I will think about it the other way and I will realize that if the boss was right there beside me getting his hands dirty then it wouldn't be possible for me to make as much money as I'm making. The soreness and such really stinks, but if you relax but not let yourself get too stiff then you will start to feel better pretty soon.

I think my friend you need to consider the use of proper body mechanics, to prevent from from low back pain. It might also help to protect your back. Good day!

Take some aleve or someting to help ease your back pain a little. I get back pain all the time I'm on pain meds for it til they figure out what's going on and why I keep getting it. But you're right the rain probably made it worse. I hope your back is feeling better by now. Take it easy and just rest the rest of the night.

When I first started working again after it having been awhile it was hard on me, my back and feet always hurt and my neck too. I had to lay down after work and take a nap, trying to keep straight and still so that my body could relax. Now my feet tend to hurt after having gotten off work but luckily that is it. For me the back pain was lower back pain, you can do these sort of sciatic stretches that will help if it's that for you. Though they aren't easy to do, and usually you have to have someone help you do them. Look it up, maybe it'll help you.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but usually when it comes to work, we have different roles in a company. Your boss was hired for some specific reason which usually his subordinates are not necessarily privy to. It's really how most businesses are done. If however your boss was supposed to also help with the unloading and he didn't, then that's when the boss is already out of line. What your boss might have done though is to be present. It would somehow give his subordinates some kind of morale boost or something. Hope you're back's okay now.

I would be angry too.. Unloading a truck in the rain while the boss is napping.. Yes my implauses would be to chew the boss a new one. Especially with your back hurting as much as it is.. But in the end all it will do is create a bad rep for you.. It stinks but hes the boss.. The best you can really do is to ask for some help next time because the pain is unbearable.. I am glad that the bath helped your back.. If heat works the best grab a heating pad and use it for 15 mintues at a time every couple of hours.. I am guessing that you took something for the pain.. But if not.. Take some ibfropen.. It will help your pain also help with any swelling that may be going on.. Also bengay works too.. There is unscented cream, but for some reason it doesnt work as well; but really stinks.. Oh ya one thing that my doctor told me was that after I took a bath no major activity for at least an half a hour afterwards.. The bath will loosen your muscles in your back.. If your strain your back during this time you could hurt it more then if it was a couple hours after you took a bath.. Just a couple hints; I live with chronic back pain.. hope you feel better soon and you do not have to do major tasks at work tommorrow

The reason the boss gets to rest while you have to do the labor I assume is cause they worked their butt off for a while getting there but I could be wrong. I know the feeling about back pain as I have been suffering this past week from a crap chair at work to also having major stress issues come about. All I can say is I hope the things I am working on currently come to to bear fruit and pay off as it will be a game changer for me. Enjoy your weekend and try and get some rest!

Hi! As I just went through my first body pump class I can empathize to a point with the soreness. Here is a thought though do ask your dr before you go ahead with it....can you get to a good chiropractor and see if they or someone else can help you with your back?

That does not sound nice at all! Especially if your boss is going home and not doing anything. I hope you can recuperate quickly from this.

I hope you can find a much better job, lighter perhaps, so you don't have to suffer in that kind of work that is really taxing to your health.
