I wrote a 'very long' (two text-boxes full) response to a discussion on STAR TREK-movies. Now I'm afraid the user who started that discussion will ERASE the discussion in lieu of an updated one (as STAR TREK-movies flow like an unending-fountain ... like James Bond-movies or The Simpsons-episodes ... and I'm sure many new, better ones will pop up in the future, starring Johnny Depp & Scarlett Johanson & me). I really like my reply to that discussion, but I only like it if it's safe here; so--if that discussion is taken down--I will want to save my response & either use it again or start a new discussion with it. But how will I do that?

Hello mythociate, How did that discussion get deleted, maybe it had some violations that caused it's deletion. unfortunately, there's no way you can retrieve that response not unless you have copy paste it first. I guess my advice is that better be careful of what you are responding to because some discussions might have violation.. watch out for topics to be responded. have a nice day

It didn't get deleted, and I hope it doesn't; but it might, coz it's old. And it's a common question, so there are sure to be people who could ask to have it deleted when they go and ask the same question.

Its a good idea. But Its not something that I think I would need or find helpful.
