MANILA, Philippines - A suspect in the abduction and killing of Julie Ann Rodelas has told investigators that the model and television talent was raped twice to teach her a lesson, and was only killed because she recognized her friend’s boyfriend as one of her abductors.
Rodelas’ friend and fellow model, Althea Altamirano, earlier admitted that the plan was “to teach (Rodelas) a lesson” for reportedly spreading rumors(?) that Altamirano already has two children.

It was just so sad.. after reading how she was kidnapped, raped and killed(being shot 5 times in the head), her body was just dumped somewhere...fortunately she held the plastic bag with the receipt still inside, which was how they found the suspects..
it was her friend too. They should all just rot in prison.
The said rumor was even true.

What awful news! Every part of this story is disgusting...from the actions, to the intentions, to the reasoning, to the disloyalty!
Everyone always wants harsh punishments for the criminals, but I am still angry because there is nothing they can do to bring this woman's life back.

this is really a sad incident, i cannot believe her friends were able to do this to her. to do such a thing just because of the said reason is really shallow, plus the suspect was really angry despite the fact that it was true. also there are really people who are crazy to do and even think of doing such a revenge towards others. even if they killed the victim, still they were not able to get away from the crime because now they are arrested and will be paying for the crime they did. hope they will rot in prison for what they did. that will only serve them right.

I saw this news on TV Patrol. As her friend stated, she didn't know that the "lesson" that will be taught to the victim ( by the boyfriend) would mean killing her. That's why she agreed to what her boyfriend suggested.
This is why I rarely watch the news. Bad things happen all the time.

Personally, I have to be critical about who one would call a friend and when you ignore the golden rules in life, then you will just have to pay up with your life as in this murdered victim.
At the other end, we really have to thank the world about freedom of expression to the extent of abandoning our self conscience, respect for another human life and morality as seen in these murderers. When their way of "teaching" is about physical brute and fatal force of laying hands against using their emotional intelligence.
Now, the country has to pay for their well being till they die in their cells commuting their life sentence for their crimes.

Its really sad to read this.
These days life of human beings too have become like animals and people hardly think about the consequences of killing someone.
I am upset for the lady who got raped and killed for just a small issue,culprits should be given hard punishment for this.

What do you mean when you said the said rumor was even true? I got confused, like the rumor is false or something? anyway I could be dumb sometimes but I need a clarification about your last sentence.

They should rot and not in a nice place. This is so slfish and idiotic. All because of rumors THAT ARE TRUE!! Such a waste. Life is so short and for people to do things like this is just bizarre. And they were supposed to be friends. We sure don't need alot of freinds like this.

Rape someone so that they could learn some lesson?? What the hec was that?? Where do people even find such theories in their lives. Why can't these people have some heart and stop doing all such nonsense. They are just sick people and friend's boyfriend raping?? Well, how sick could have been that person. He is the most "a word which is the worst in the dictionary to describe such people" (I don't want to violate mylot terms) in this world. I feel so bad for the girl who was shot 5 times in the head. Man! can't even imagine what she would have gone through at that time when we people can't even bear a normal head ache.
Good bless her and let her soul rest in peace. That is all we can wish for her now when she is all gone.

They raped and killed the poor girl to 'teach her a lesson.'Now they are being taught a more important lesson in jail.I hope they would learn why they should not have raped and killed a poor girl.When such criminals think that they are teaching a lesson to someone,they forget that they themselves need to learn something.All such criminals should be brought to book as soon as possible.

I've read the news over at Yahoo. My goodness, that's so sick. And to think that they're friends! With friends like that, who needs enemies? Sometimes you don't know who to trust anymore. Like what happened between these two friends, they know the others' deep dark secrets and later on this was used against the other. I'm not saying one is right and the other is wrong, but my sympathies goes to the parents and family of the slain lady. NObody have the right to do gruesome things like that against anybody.

i think that reason that the victim spread the rumor is not even true. i have a suspicion that this is about envy. this is the truest form of the adage 'Envy kills.'
actually, that one who volunteered to be star witness even mentioned envy. if it is true that Rodelas spread the rumor, she could have just confronted her. that was no enough reason to hurt her physically, and even come to the point of raping and killing her. those are animals who had plotted and executed the acts.
at times you ask yourself why these things are happening...

This I believe is a true story, your friend can be your worst enemy when everything gets out of control. So you need to investigate if a friend is really worth trusting or not. See they betray each other but the last one is the worst, it's not fair-there is no justice.

so this one implies that bestfriend is the best enemy. so i can say that be careful whom you trusted upon because these two women were bestfriends before that incident happened. they are both models for the latter taught modelling to the former. so sad that this happened and ended their friendship like this. and nowadays and so as before, killing is rampant and so as raping. disgusting and very annoying. justice for the victim for that
