if you can afford to adopt and give home to homeless animals, would you do it?

I would. If I can afford to give them housing and feed all the homeless cats and dogs in our place, I would do it. This means I should also be able to afford to pay people who will help in caring for these helpless creatures. It is such a huge work, but I know that I am going to do it if I had the resources. There are just so many uncared for and stray cats and dogs in our place, it's so sad.

Well, they would have to be compatible with my 3 Collie b!tches. An un-neutered male dog I could not accept and a b!tch would have to be submissive or my dogs would probably kill her. Dogs fight for dominance, b!tches fight to kill I am allergic to cats so would be unable to take one. If I had the facilities and money I might take a horse all the best, urban

Hi Urban! I think with the right resources ways can be done in order to avoid the fighting. Having them neutered and spayed should be the first thing to be done so they won't multiply.

I think all the dog and cat lovers would do the same. Everyone of us, who love animals, would give home and care to every stray dog or cat. But how to do this when you live in a small apartment in a block of flats, and you live from a public clerk salary? I wish I had the resources to do that. I'd love to know that many dogs and cats live a happy life thanks to me.

Hi Oct! We can only wish that pet owners would be more responsible.

Way back in 1990s when I was studying at college, I had some really great friends. They always supported me and despite the fact that we were students with not enough money, we did organize workshops on health and sanitation, blood donation camps and many other such things at the slums and areas where there were poor people. I cite the above just to convey a message - money is important no doubt, but what matters is the heart to do it. And if you really have a heart, you can do it within your capacities. I dont believe in when or if I have the money thing, that is just a way to procrastinate. If you really care, why not feed at least one dog or cat with some biscuits on a regular basis?

Yes, I do that Thesids. When I feed my own dogs, other dogs, another three dogs from I don't know where, would sit and wait outside our gate and I would also give them part of my dogs' food.

I would definitely do it. If I was given a house with a big back yard, I will probably adopt a lot of dogs. I am not very choosy when it comes to breed. I love all kinds of dogs. If I have a lot of money, I will build a hospital for dogs for free and provide shelter to stray dogs.

Hello! We used to adopt stray cats. It just started with one stray cat then another then another! But its ok for us since we know that they don't have any owners. Plus what's good about it is that those cats that we adopted is very loyal to us and as if we were their owners from the start.

I like animals. If my family agrees to have a pet at home, of course I'd like to adopt a homeless animal, especially a cat. Since I have to go to work, so I have to leave the cat at home and my parents have to take care of them. So if they don't agree to it, I don't want to bother them. This is why I hesitate to adopt a homeless animal unless my parents approve to it.

It would be of great help if everyone can give their share in keeping our furry friends happy too.

I am a dog lover and I would really want to take care of those dogs but I have to make my husband agree with me. Besides, I am no longer in our home and I couldn't be there to take care of them. But if I could afford to, I would love to donate some of my earnings to those abandoned dogs in the shelter.

I would like to take care of the animals but I wouldn't take them in the appartment. If I had a yard, I would like to adopt a puppy and I have thought about it many times. In order to help them, I would prefer to donate to the care service to take care of them and do the immunations and then find them new owners that would treat them well. We used to adopt puppies at my village, our house there is in the fields and they can run and play everywhere. But now we don't go there any more so we couldn't care for them properly.

Exactly. That's why I said the "right resources" so they would be in a place where they can play and run around. It would have to be a special home for them.

When we decide toget a pet that is all we have ever done is gotten ones from Animal shelters or other foster places.

If I could, I would adopt homeless animals. But I live in an apartment, and it's in the policy that we can't keep animals inside. But what I do, do is volunteer at my local animal shelter. It's a very rewarding experience, and also very emotional to see that these animals don't have a real home with a family to care for them. But it's a very nice gesture that the animal shelter will be the animal's temporary home until it finds its "forever home." It's much better that they're in the shelter rather than out on the streets.

Yeah, I know how apartments are. The only way to have a pet in such a place is to tie your dog in one place and I don't want to do that. A shelter for stray animals or street animals is really necessary.
