How you motivate yourself? I want to motivate my self too

When i look on the mirror i see my self fat, big tummy, and feel like over weight. In my house i got two exercise machine the bike and abs pro. In my mind i always think i want to exercise but when ever i do, i only do it in the short time then i feel tired and lazy. Sometimes i say, later next time i will exercise but then it go to next and next time more. I know it a bad, i don't know how i can motivate my self to keep my self train or exercise. Maybe you all can share to me on how you motivate your self to do exercise.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your feelings and i think u should not feel aggrieved over this situation. U cannot blame yourself or anyone for this. I know u want to shed some weight but that gut feeling is not present within u. What i can suggest u is to stay focused and have some goals in your mind. Maintain a strategy of weight loss and try to focus on achieving it and i am sure u will get a very good weight at the end of the day. What say?

hello there, it is really difficult to motivate ones self. especially if you are not really determined to do that thing. though you want to start it but cannot continue it because of some reason. just like what i always encounter when i am doing my exercise, whereas i am more motivated to attend the gym when i am doing it together with my bestfriend. i am enjoying doing it with somebody on my side.

oh,dear friend may be many people do it as you,including me of course.my experience is that dividing the exercise task into various sections.it means that you couldn't do too much exercise for one time.for example,you want to lope 2 kilometers everyday,meantime,your body failed to finish this goal,you maybe disaporinted and discouraged.More appropriate way is cut the final goal into several staged one.for example,i don't need to lope 2 kilometers one day,it's OK that i just lope 1 kilometer these days and i can't reach the 2 kilometers per day until my body permitting. in addition,it's not enough that you only have a reasonable goal.you need to command youself to execute your plan.No negotiation,No concession,just execution of it.

I am same as you. but those machines were too tiring for me. I am already tired from work and having those exercise really will kill me, so really it is a drag to do those exercise. What I do I bike outside the house and see the nature and neighbor. I do yoga because it is very relaxing no physical effort that you will almost catch your breath at the end. I walk. I have lost a few kilos. LOL ..

is there any form of exercise that you enjoy doing? that you could do easily. i have a dog and take him for a walk everyday, and i live near the centre of the town, and i like to walk there, and there is a nice park nearby too, where i like to walk. is there anything more enjoyable you could do, rather than force yourself to use an exercise machine?

Well to motivate yourself you have to look at a change in yourself. If you want to change you have to think of it internally than externally. What can you do to help yourself? If you want to start exercising, start off small. Walk instead of jog. You want to walk short distances that your body can handle. Then once you get used to that, you make the distance longer than that.You have to have this mentality that says you can do it, instead of the other way around. Stay Positive.

Be sure that every minute in life is very important for us. So don't waste your time, whatever you want to do,do it right now. Don't be lazy, because lazyness the biggest enemy for human. Whenever you do excercise , tell your heart that you can only make this now. If you postpone your work everytime, then when you will do it. Take inspiration of great people like Mahatma Gandhi , Sachin tendulkar and Abdul kalam, they did their work at the right time and thats why they are at the top place always.
