I saw a special deal of 299 pounds for a return flight to New York. I think accommodation would be very expensive there. I think Miami would be an even nicer city to visit though accommodations seems mega pricey there. In my travel days of visiting America I stayed in youth hostels and backpacker hostel in dorms. Now I travel with my kids I need a room for 3 or 4 people. Which cities have you seen cheap flights to? Did you fly to a different city and if so what was your trip like?

Well, since I live in Indonesia, the cities that I have go to is to local cities here like Manado, Bandung, Surabaya, and Bali. Usually the cheap one is with certain llllines which often have a promotion for cheap flight. Either way, it's still a good deal to travel with them. For travelling to different countries, I often used Air Asia which usually have a cheap offer in certain time, I have been to Hongkong with it, and it's pretty nice to have.

My partner and I got a wonderful deal to Berlin many years ago, we were visiting their friends and I had never been to Germany before, if I remember rightly the plane tickets were £24 return, the taxi fare was more expensive, plus we didn't have to pay for the accommodation as were staying with friends. We also got a cheap flight when we went to Amsterdam, but I much prefer to go to Amsterdam by train than plane.

there are at times ridiculously cheap flights that airlines offer to potential passengers. popular cities often have promo fares. once i was able to get a trip to rome for only 11 euro all-in one-way ticket. it was so cheap that i decided to stay longer in rome for a week to enjoy the city. what could have been spent on fares, i rather spent them on accommodation and food.

I've never stayed anywhere other than a hotel. I wouldn't feel comfortable in a hostel so I commend you on your chance taking. I'll bet it was neat to stay someplace where the scenery was different and people were passing through.
