What do you look for in a hotel?

It cannot be denied that most of us travel before at some point of our lives. Even now, most people would have business, leisure or shopping trip from time to time. My question is, what sort of things or criteria would you look for when you make the decision to stay at a particular hotel? I am still an undergraduate student. So all the trips or travel I made are mainly for leisure or shopping purposes. There are a few things that I always pay attention to when I choose which hotel to stay. They are product, price, place and promotion. I would check if they have good quality rooms with comfortable bed and bath tub. The services and the staff manner would be taken into consideration too. As for price, I would look for the cheapest yet offer good quality stay. While the location of the hotel should be somewhere with good connection, safe and food outlets are near to. If a hotel is having a particular promotion such as free night stay and half price discount, that attracts me even more. How about you?

I try to get the most for my money, as everyone else, f course. But there are two things that are so important that are a must. I need a very clean room and bathroom and I expect a good bed with a good mattress and clean sheets. There are other things I want too, but they are not that important. The neighborhood has to be a good one if I`m in a city I don`t know.

Yes. nothing should come before personal and belonging safety. clean room, bathroom and a comfortable bed are definitely a must if you would like to have a good rest. The other things can come second.

I will choose hotel near the downtown. But the hotel should be comfortable, with good service, 24 hours' hot water, near to the park. Maybe it will be a little noicy to stay in the downdown, but i can enjoy the beatiful night and crowed people in the street.

I must say that downtown or the center of the city is definitely a good place for your hotel to be. Because that kind of place is normally where are the facilities and entertainment are situated at and you don't have to worry about getting around of course because public transport is aplenty. I believe most hotels, at least the one that looks like a hotel would have 24 hours of hot water as it is one of the basic thing that hotel guests would ask for.

The things I look for in a hotel are having my own toilet and shower and having a double bed! For me just these two things are luxuries for me. Having a bath would be even better. I think when we stay at a hotel it's a chance to relax, and I like nothing better to soak in a long hot bath without being disturbed, then afterwards crashing out on the double bed watching television. I only have a single bed at home so it would have to have a double. I am not bothered about a view or the food, it's the room itself would be important.

Indeed, my girlfriend likes a double, queen or king sized bed in the hotel room. Just as you mentioned, a bathtub would be a plus. Soaking oneself in the bathtub peacefully is a kind of enjoyment I would say. That is why I would look for bathtub in hotel room rather than a LCD plasma television.

I like to stay at locally owned guest houses and in unusual accommodation. I like the sort of place where local people stay and not a pricey hotel which attracts rich tourists. The accommodation has to be affordable. My disabled son is in a wheelchair therefore ground floor accommodation is essential unless the accommodation has an elevator that works. I like the room to have space for three or four people in double or single beds. It is essential the room has a window. I like the accommodation to be situated in a quiet position away from street noise. I stayed in a tree house in Belize and in a ship youth hostel in Sweden.

Those that you mentioned are the ones i look for in a hotel... but i also consider the location... it would depend on the purpose of my stay in that particular area... if it is for going around and shopping... i prefer one that is near the malls or business establishments... just like when i went to Kuala Lumpur... the hotel i chose was like a walk away from where i want to go... but when i went to Cebu... i only wanted to relax... so i chose a secluded and quiet hotel with a private beach... and that definitely served its purpose...

For us, we prefer a hotel that is not really beside the major thoroughfare. There's nothing we hate the most but the sound of honking and busy traffic. We also need Internet connection and most of all, clean. We had an unfortunate experience of staying in a hotel that is supposed to be clean and they pride themselves for being a 3 star hotel, yet in the middle of the night, I started itching and I discovered more than 10 bedbugs! I woke up my husband and we requested for an immediate transfer of rooms. They even tried to convince us that they're not bedbugs but mere small insects.

The unbearable noise is certainly one of the things that would affect our stay. In fact, just two days ago when I was looking for a hotel in the center of Kuala Lumpur city in Malaysia, I came across some comments on tripadvisor about the noise they experienced during their stay at a few hotels. That changes my mind not to stay there even though the place is near to all the amazing cheap food outlets and malls.

While looking for a hotel, my first choice is about the price. I care about the price. If it is high and unacceptable to me, I won't choose to stay. Then it is a must that there should be a bathroom as it is very important for me to take a bath before going to bed. The third is related to the location. It should not be too far from the town center for shopping.

I have stayed in many different kinds of hotels in the past, and through that experience I have learned something about the things I find important when I book a hotel room. I didn't like rooms without windows and today I would like to have at least one window. I didn't like the cheap hotels where I had to share the bathroom with a lot of other people because I wasted too much time waiting in line, so I want a room with a private bathroom or a bathroom that I only have to share with a few people. The location of the hotel is important to me. It is nice when the hotel is in downtown and I am able to walk to sights and shops, but I don't mind staying in the outskirts of the city if public transportation is available. I once stayed in a hotel that was very far from downtown. There was no public transportation. A taxi was expensive and only other option was walking. It was possible to walk, but it was hard to walk all the way to downtown and it took a long time. Today I check the location more carefully, because I want to avoid that situation in the future.

maybe because until now, i think that my deserved outcome when spending money in hotel isn`t much, i choose the fee of hotel as the first priority... and maybe the second is the comfortable hotel or room..

I am sure that you will be able to earn better in the future. Plan your future trip well and perhaps you can get some good ones at low price. Though some cheap hotels are pretty good too.

Yes, my criteria for a hotel accommodation are similar to yours. It also depends what type of holiday I am planning. If it is a shopping paradise holiday, then I will look for hotel that have all the shopping malls nearby, something like in the city centre. If I want a relax with spa holiday, then I will search for the resort hotel with the best spa facilities, beautiful views to relax example at the beach or secluded island. If it is family oriented holiday, then the hotel should be near the theme park like Hotel Michael in Sentosa Island, Singapore which is situated right besides the Universal Studio Singapore.

I saw first cost and compatibly services. If they provides more facility in less price then I go for that. Second location, Because If hotel is so far from my destination then It cost me to travel. food is also important, I'm food loving person so It must be tasty and Delicious. I like Toshali resort chain, I give first preference to it while traveling in India.
